i, too, would like to know what kind of game she came up with. thanks for the deets, SOE! lesson: marketing sucks no matter what gender is putting it out.

<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Sheep Dialysis Machine: Are Pets the Medical Devices of the Future?]]> anyone else see a problem with the fact that this was thought up by a design student and not, say, a scientist?

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Blitz: The League II Screens]]> post-apocalyptic football? pff. real future players would doff such unnecessaries as padding and helmets. ..hrm, maybe there's a market for post-apocalyptic rugby?

aside: it's weird to say i thought briefly of getting this just to keep gaming jobs in chicago. sigh. i could play it on my bro-in-law's PS3! once! yeah...

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Ubisoft Acquires Visual Effects Studio Behind 300]]> @Spoony Bard: amen. call me crazy (or un-american), but i like my big budget eye dazzlers to have at least a splash of plot.

<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on The Best Team Fortress 2 Dispenser Case Mod We've Ever Seen]]> unbecoollievable! i can't wait to see his sentry gun! man, if i had a workbench, i'd be soooooo tempted...

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Chrono Trigger DS Screens]]> @daschupa: g1.

i too missed out on the hype.. i'd like to take a whack at CT, as long as they're not putting a $40 price tag on it, which i know they will.

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Whatcha Listening To? Like, Right Now?]]> right now? MSNBC. ;_;

haven't been listening to any one artist lately, just my usual stable of old music. bought (donated $5 to?) Girl Talk the other day but haven't listened yet. Pinback's always good for several hours' worth.

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Come Party With Kotaku]]> guys, don't blame Kotaku for the crappy meeting place, blame E3.

i'm just glad to have Bashcraft back stateside! :D

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on E3 and Its Kotaku Party]]> another nom for a PAX kotaku party.

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Shrooms Change Your Life for the Better]]> @Miranda Kali: hehe. reminds me of the time i smoked pot an hour before bed.. felt nothing. woke up and went to work, whereupon i finally felt the effects. i hardly ever do drugs, so that was a very interesting day. luckily it was an antisocial temp job in an out-of-the-way office. if i did that at my current place i'd either be fired on the spot...or laughed at for ten hours straight.

ps. "tripping balls"...still giggling.

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on World's Greatest Astronomical Detective Strikes Again!]]> @Log1c: that, too. he's taking flyaway observations as empirical fact. surely he knows how inconstant humans are? how can he say for certain that anything happened anywhere at a certain time? i could research any event with his methods, but i'd be reticent to pass my findings to the public.

of course, a tiny part of me wants this to be accurate...but oh, so scared am i to believe!

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Your Triceratops Has Arrived]]> @Turtlestack: laying it on a little thick, are we? this really disgusts you that much, huh? apparently i have no taste, and am still a teenage goth at heart, for i dig it. the stairs make it for me; a humongous industrial gewgaw is one thing, but one that you can walk up to and run around in (obtaining blisters from the steam)? count me in.

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on World's Greatest Astronomical Detective Strikes Again!]]> cool. got a couple beefs, though:

1. what difference does a few days make?
2. how can anyone back him up or disprove this?

<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Stix - A Wiimote For Your PC]]> they go with my current Antec 900 color scheme. hrm.. do i care about accessorizing that much.. ? naaaahhh.

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Yes, I Really Did Watch A Guy Play Boogie Superstar]]> @Arsenicberyllium: i'm agreeing. a game just shoved on girls seems a bit lopsided in this day and age. however, i cringe to think what a "Boogie for men" would play like.

]]>

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Incredible Gamer Earrings: Too Much, Or Just Enough?]]> i've got an Urban Terror (Q3 mod) t-shirt given to me by my ex when he went to Quakecon; an Urban Terror clan shirt made for me by a fellow clan member; a Diesel Sweeties shirt of a Mario pixel cloud; the aforementioned Threadless "Çeci n'est pas une pipe" shirt; and a necklace made out of old PC parts. the necklace i wear all the time, since it's subtle. the other shirts i wear for exercising and around the house. (i really love the "pipe" shirt though, cuz my sister customized it for me.)

i'm not really the sort to advertise anything on my body. i don't wear band shirts or t-shirts with sayings on them. i figure my DS is advertisement enough. if i see someone with gaming apparel i'm intrigued, but i don't strike up a conversation because of it.

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Everyone And The ECTO-1 Heading To PAX]]> gamecock? ferrealz? i figure the PA gang wouldn't be too down with their hijinks.

@exkon: i'm going. getting together with some kotakuites at some point would be tits.

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on One Year And Counting, PSP Dominates My Subway]]> hardly any gamers on chicago's mass transit. i've seen maybe a couple people with DSes, total. seen a lot more PSPs, but still not too many. these days, though, i'm too busy whipping out my own DS to pay much attention :)

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Team Fortress 2 and Its Less Juvenile Environment]]> @SnakeCL: oh my lord. i played QWTF and MegaTF and i haaaaaaated fuckers like that...but to put it all in a video is just.. i was crying. the engy building the teleporter off the train was genius. never trust any player with squares in his name.

for those of you who missed out on the QWTF years.. be grateful you never ran into a blocker on 2fort. or, better, two blockers for the same spawn. we would beg people to come into the spawn and kill those bastards.

<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Spoilers: Limbo of the Lost's Terrifying Ending]]> @Hengst2404: oh good, i'm safe. couldn't make it through.

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on The Consoles of Our Ancestors]]> i visited a friend a few years ago.. his parents had sent him their old Fairchild system. i'd never even heard of it, let alone seen one with my own eyes. utterly fascinating. if only it had worked :(

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on Hello Kitty Becomes DS PDA]]> @Shiryu: my sis loves the Badz-Maru. she's got Badz-Maru fuzzy dice in her car. if there's any character to follow in Hello Kitty, that'd be the one!

]]>
<![CDATA[geekgrrl commented on How Alternate Reality Helped Me Survive the Dentist]]> @MrBlahBlah: seconded! but i don't think the dentist would want me laughing so much.
