And when Enver call, ask him why Tahmoh and Fran haven't called *me* back yet. I'm sure I gave them the right number... #observationdeck
I also love some lines in the book, especially when the writer is describing all of the pages he ripped out of the books about the Humperdink's travel to Florin. #observationdeck
Second, do you feel that the whole Boyd thing was too far out there or just enough? And third, is the love story of Sierra and Victor one of the greatest ones on tv in years?
Okay, I'm done now. :) #observationdeck
As for order you should see in it, I suggest Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Cap. :) #observationdeck
Nonetheless, I went. While we were waiting for the movie to start, Mudder asked me who had more money, Spielberg or Lucas. I said Lucas because he had the Star Wars games, books and shows and despite Spielberg having his money spread around, Star Wars is one heck of a pot.
The 3-D in it isn't gimmicky but just adds a real texture to everything, especially Padme's clothes and the Emperor's holograms but other than that, it's the same movie. Jake Lloyd is still overacting, Jar Jar is still annoying and I finally got to see how this movie crushed the hopes of some many Star Wars fans. And yet, I feel as if I feel in love with Star Wars again.
I finally noticed how the Emperor played all sides against each other, how Obi-Wan didn't actually go through his Jedi Knight's trial (They've really have got to stop doing that) and that IS Keira Knightley as Padme's bodyguard! I heard the sound FX and the music in its full John Williams glory and remembered the EU book, Tatoonine's Ghost. I felt all of the notes in the movie like never before and I squeed everytime I saw Darth Maul like the 8-year Juggler I was when I truly fell in love with Star Wars. It felt like everything I read in the EU and saw in the shows pulled itself together in the great Star Wars Pot.
So, honestly, it's the same crap it was 12 years ago and it'll probably make you feel the same way you did when you first saw it which is probably why I feel like I can almost forgive Lucas for some of the stupid he's done/said.
So for today, post your new musical obsessions!
I'm a huge fan of the show Numb3rs because one of the things that seperates it from most of crime shows is its character developements. Great show, great actors, great chemistry.
What else? Um, Journeyman (only seen the first 4 episodes but awesome sauce), Sherlock series 1, any Cary Grant and T:SCC. Great stuff. #observationdeck
Whenever I was wrestling with my sisters, however, there were some limits to make sure no one got hurt or that the fight didn't get real.
The James Bond Complex (or JBC) is when the last 10-30 minutes of a movie just feels tacked on or as if the world somehow got into more trouble right our hero/-ine just saved and needs more saving, as most commonly seen in James Bond movies.
I'm not saying that the JBC is a bad thing but it's a tricky beast to control. Movies with JBC:
James Bond movies, obviously. (Casino Royale, A View To A Kill, Day Another Day, etc)
The Dark Knight
Speed
Spiderman 3 (If memory serves me right)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Burton version and I'm not saying that it's JBC is a bad thing)
Why am I posting this? Is it because I know that I'm not supposed to be watching anything DC comics related before I go to sleep because I know I'll get weird dream so I need something else to think obsessively about? Maybe....
Part of me wishes that I was a nerd like that. *Click "Replay"*
