You're right: that list from The Numbers is not adjusted for inflation. The $7k budget listed for El Mariachi is the shooting budget Robert Rodriguez lists in his book "Rebel Without a Crew".
@Shepard: We sure can. Can we also agree that it'll be a travesty when this crap comes back into fashion in a couple of years?
I can't think of any male actor of any ethnicity in the age range the studio is looking at that could pull this off.

Maybe Dakota Fanning is available.
@godspiel: Now that I think of it, that would make Kate, Claire and Aaron a love triangle.
"So... almost everybody gets awakened to their memories of the "real" world by encountering their true love. Which means that Jack really was Kate's true love after all? But Kate wasn't Jack's."

If this is true, than Kate's true love is Aaron, 'cause delivering him is what awakened her memories. Which kinda makes sense, given that her motivation for returning to bring back Claire was more about doing right by the son than by the mother.
@Ghost_in_the_Machine: Every show I've liked with a good 1st season either peaked early or got canceled early.
@omgwtflolbbqbye: I seem to recall that Dalton was approached for On Her Majesty's Secret Service, but turned it down because he felt he was too young for the part.
Witness is not an action film; It's a Romance with some action in it.
@danataf2: I already deleted it from my DVR, but I believe he said something about not wanting to be around for everyone else's safety, in case Topher was wrong about the pulse not being able to reach him there.
@Darklighter: According to Merriam-Webster, an Ensemble is either the whole cast, or just the supporting cast. Anders seems to be counting any character that shows up more than once. According to the (upcoming) 16th SAG Awards Rules and Regulations: "A Television Ensemble shall be defined as those actors who have appeared in more than half the episodes originally aired during the Awards year and who meet one of the the following two requirements: employment under a Series Contract, as specified in sections 5, 6, 7 or 8 of the Screen Actors Guild Television Agreement or billing in the main series titles. In the event that an actor joins a series during the fall season of the calendar year — the second of the two television seasons falling in the Awards period — the actor may be deemed eligible if the actor appeared in the majority of original episodes aired during the second season, provided that the actor also meets the other criteria given above. Determination of what constitutes a majority of original episodes shall be at the sole discretion of Screen Actors Guild Awards. Actors who do not meet the eligibility requirements, as part of the ensemble announced as the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble, but who appeared in three or more episodes of that show in a calendar year are eligible to receive a certificate." The largest nominated ensemble I picked out from a quick skim is Desperate Housewives with 25 for 2008. I'm guessing that every show runner has their own criteria.
@aves18: My DVR shows it starting at 12:30pm. #castle
@RandomFrequentFlierDent: "We thougt we'd never get to meet you." #castle
@zmjjmz: A large chunk of computerized AI research utilizes Bayes Theorem, which also plays a role in most spam filters.
Even with novelizations of Blade Runner and the Little Women, this is a little weird.
What's another couple million in debt when there's a snowball's chance in hell of recuperating you loses?
@transbastard: After what happened with Kindred: The Embarrassed, I doubt anyone will be willing to try an RPG adaptation anytime soon.

Well, Adult Swim could probably be talked into doing a Paranoia series, without it coming out all 5th Ed.

@kalenoble: I vaguely recall either Brian Henson or David Kemper saying that Farscape: TNG was something they were considering for some nebulous point in the future.
Damage Control. I never even read the comic, and I want to see it.
