That's what I'm saying though, if a 50 out of 100 is the absolute lowest score, fully half of the scale isn't being used, ever. Why even bother with a 100-point scale if 1-49 never get used?
That's the problem with numerical scales - we (in America, at least) already have a built-in connotation for the numerical values thanks to our education grading scales. Depending on the harshness/generosity of the grading scale, an 80% could either be a B- or a C+, so yes, either average or slightly above average. In general, however, 90-100 is exceptional, 80-89 is above average, 70-79 is average, 60-69 is below average, 59 and below is failing. We are predisposed to only using not even half of the available values! It's why I approved of 1up switching to a letter-based review system.

Why is that man like that?
The fan campaign failed (I believe they mailed anchovy tins to Gail Berman) where the DVD sales and consistently high Adult Swim ratings ultimately succeeded.
Seriously. The first time I watched S:A&B I was floored with how much Galactica 2004 owed to is.
"You win again, gravity!" gets the most use from me.
What's most impressive, after having rewatched it for the first time since it was on air, is how much the Galactica reboot owes to it, at least aesthetics-wise.
Was just going to do the same thing, but aren't they a little young to be on a list like this?
I'm going to throw in my support as well for chocolate.
Needs more fanservice.
I want to know if it was a conscious decision to have the patriarchs of two feuding clans in Whitefall both be voiced by Pegleg Pete.
My favorite alien conspiracy theory is still, by far, that the Iraq War was to take control of the Stargate.
Where does 1632/The Ring of Fire series fit in all of this?
My ringtone is the Dr. Horrible theme. My notification sound is the Wilhelm Scream. It's pretty awesome.
The Ring of Fire books are totally worth picking up from there.
