"Lookin' through her window, now my body is warm She's naked, and I'm a peepin tom Her body's beautiful, so I'm thinkin rape Shouldn't have had her curtains open, so that's her fate Leavin out her house, grabbed the bitch by her mouth Drug her back in, slammed her down on the couch Whipped out my knife, said, "if you scream, I'm cuttin" Opened her legs and commenced the fuckin She begged me not to kill her, I gave her a rose Then slit her throat, and watched her shake till her eyes closed Had sex with the corpse before I left her And drew my name on the wall like helter skelter"
Just once, I want to see a movie with people living in an incredibly hot, post-apocalyptic environment dressing like people that have been living in incredibly hot environments for thousands of years. Jeans and wife-beaters won't do it. Black leather won't do it (looking at you Book of Eli). Look at the Middle East. These warriors of the wasteland should look like Arabs, not Hell's Angels.
Nina Blackburn: So, what's the deal with the hats?
Ice Cold: Shit, the hats're what NWH is all about. See, back in the day when there were slaves and stuff, we was forced to work in the hot sun all day, hatless. I mean, not even a babushka.
Tone Def: Word. Heads totally exposed to the sun.
Ice Cold: So when the slaves got back from the fields, they was too tired to revolt against they masters. So what we're sayin' now is: Yo, we got some hats now, muh-fuckas.
Tasty Taste: And we ain't too tired to bust a cap in yo' ass.
Gettin' me bruised on a cruise What I got to lose, lost all contact Got me layin' on my back Rollin' in my own leftover When I roll over, I roll over in somebody else's 90 F--kin' days on a slave ship Count 'em fallin' off 2, 3, 4 hun'ed at a time Blood in the wood and it's mine I'm chokin' on spit feelin' pain Like my brain bein' chained Still gotta give it what I got But it's hot in the day, cold in the night But I thrive to survive, I pray to god to stay alive
You completely missed the point. Look again. I'll wait.
Back? Good. By now you should have realized that of course the Apartheid regime was oppressive. A majority was oppressed by a minority. The graph to which I was responding is an attempt to illustrate how such a scenario is ridiculous. My graph is an illustration of how it is not. You all caught up, now?
Is that picture up there what the connector actually looks like? Because, it would seem like it could be a bit awkward to mark is recognized as the universal symbol for electrical current. I doubt anyone here would have a problem with it, but I could see some grandma plugging in a Thunderbolt cable and wondering why her computer won't come on.
I'd rather see 53 $1 billion X Prizes sponsored by the government. Develop a 50% efficient solar cell? Here's a billion dollars. Unified field theory? Billion dollars. 30 percent decrease in power line transmission loss? Bam! You're now one of the richest people in the world. Of course, there would be specifics to work out - like what would constitute a successful claim and a how the claimant would be designated. But dammit, could you imagine the bonanza of endeavor that would ensue?
The ad was great, but did anyone else get the sense that some of the head movements may have been digitally enhanced? I seem to be acutely sensitive to CG motion and something - I don't know what - was triggering my spidey sense. Could be wrong.
@twitchykun(ate Schrödinger's cat): Hey, after playing Splinter Cell, I would creep around the house and put my wife into choke holds. She found it annoying.
I know I'm going to alienate myself from my gamer brethren here, but; I did did notice that after extended sessions of Interstate '76 (ask your parents) I would find myself driving more aggressively. I would take turns a little faster and lay on the gas pedal a little harder. I never got a ticket or caused a wreck or anything, but it was enough for me to notice.
