Sadly, one important feature is still missing: I CAN'T SEE OR DO ANYTHING WITH MY DVD/BLU-RAY QUEUE ON THE APP! To top it off, if I go to the website via the ipad it tries to push me to the app. They really don't want me bothering with the discs, do they.
I love this game. Both the actual tile version and the iPad version. The Inns and cathedrals expansion is the one we most commonly play too! If you have a chance to pick up the real version of this game I recommend it. It's a great game for just about anyone over the age of 5.
I couldn't say one way or another what I think it is but I do find it interesting that as that blast approaches from the back the black shapes around the object seem to change from front and back to more heavily in the back. I wonder if this is intentional or somekind of chemical reaction?
I had a few of these when I was a kid. I'm pretty sure there was a choplifter one which I had along with the Pitfall one. I had them on my really sharp wrangler denim jacket.
Right you are on my typo. I should know better than that. :(
Without poking fun or insulting anyone, I can see how the verb (or lack there of) "is" can throw off a voice recognition system. As the asian languages deal with the conguatation of verbs completely differently than english, it is apparent that this could be a problem. It reminds me of Truman Capote talking to Peter Sellers in a Neil Simon movie (Lets see if anyone gets that reference.)
I think you are missing the point. You get catwoman with the game if you purchase it new. If you buy it used you will have to pay extra for it.
Publishers and distributors love gamestop, for the high volume of new games they sell. On the other hand, they don't like them for their used game market. With this strategy they present a value in buying a game new over a used game. When you save $5 buying used, but get a $10 item with it, it makes buying the game new beneficial. Who knows, perhaps Gamestop will start to drop the proces of the used games a little to compensate on lost sales. (i doubt it though)
Agreed - I have no problem with developers offering a bonus to those who purchase the game new.
the biggest spoiler i saw was the glowing treasure. :(
I think they are playing towards him talking to himself because he is dehydrated and acting a little crazy. I can deal with it in this scene, hopefully (and i'm assuming it isn't) it's not through the whole game.
I commute into and out of Boston every day via public transportation. I have noticed that there are about 10 iPads for every Android tablet I see. But then again, there are about 20 kindles for every iPad I see.
I agree about windwaker being underrated. The funny thing about that game is that because of it's art style, it will be a game that stands the test of time. As realistic graphics keep improving and improving, Windwaker has a style that does not need to improve. It will always look cartoon-like which, in turn will make it much longer before people start saying; "Man, this game looks dated." I've always wondered if the same people who deminish Windwaker because of it's artistic representation are also people who fight the fight that videogames are an art form? Oh, and Don't get me wrong, I like realistic looking games too.

That being said; Skyward Sword looks beautiful!
Although I just watched the trailer and it is very similar to Twilight Princess. Maybe it's just the color pallette and minimal textures of the images that gave me the wind waker impressions.
The art style seems to be a nice mix between Twilight Princess and Windwaker. I like it.
So i have been searching the web to see some specs and a write up on the actual sound quality comparison between these two players. Can you back up your claim about the "better sound quality"?
I was always amused by the Dirtrict 9 cat food addiction. mmmmmmmmmmm, cat food.
I think that you need to remember that Kotaku is a blog. It is opinion infused with news. It is not unbiased videogame news. If that's what you think you come here to read then you are coming to the wrong site. Also, I commend Kotaku for taking the negative stance. The 3DS does have many issues. Nintendo is faltering in the way they are dealing with it and in turn looking to push the consumers as far as they can to pay for their mistakes. I appreciate Kotaku standing up with the consumers and not folding like a corporate marketing monkey.
Don't hate me world. I'm an American, and I'm a nice guy. :)
