A runtime difference of 3 minutes doesn't necessarily mean it's 3 minutes added to the same film. For all we know he could have cut out 30 minutes and added 33 different minutes.
So essentially your idea is to take Good Shows with Good writing staffs and swap writing staffs with Bad Shows that have Bad writing staffs?
The Heroes/True Blood swap makes me want to puke, honestly. One of the worst writing staffs in recent memory (Heroes) polluting True Blood, one of the best shows in recent memory? Ech, no.
Heroes has one season left. LET IT DIE.
I don't think it's that hard to categorize a novel, honestly. I often think of things in broad terms like fantasy, science fiction, fiction, or non fiction. Anything can fit in those categories.
Could I get more specific? Yes. However, a good fiction author should not limit his or herself to one genre. Is Neil Gaiman ONLY writing about dark fantasy? Of course not! He has plenty of social commentary, a bit of horror, perhaps some dabbling with science fiction, etc. And every author has *some* degree of autobiography in his of her work. To flail helplessly in the mire of indecision makes me question the resolution of some of these authors. Pick a genre, and people will either expect more than that broad generalization or be pleasantly surprised upon reading the book.
@Hamslicer:
Outlander? It got a decent theatrical release in Europe and then they waited awhile to release it in the States. By the time they did, it got bad reception. Kind of a case of self fulfilling prophecy as they didn't market it at all and yet somehow were surprised that it performed poorly. Personally, I love it.
PS2 has a better and cheaper library and (somewhat) recently went down in price. Makes sense to me. I don't see the PSPGo making a difference for Sony, though.
@abbe:
They're selling the equivalent of $10. PSN points, in and of themselves, do not give anything else. You can't listen to them in your mp3 player. You can't watch them in your dvd player. It's money. That's all it is. That's the only value, and thus it should not cost more than the value of the money to *buy* the money.
And it's an outright lie that they're getting "no profit" from "a lot of work." First all, the "work" involved is, at most, an underpaid retail lackey hanging PSN cards from a rack. And the lack of profit is also ignorant at best. Yeah they don't profit from the cards themselves, but they do profit from the increased business that they get as a result of having the cards. This is not an unknown strategy in business, and to complain about it is to show their lack of understanding in the field.
