First of all, for you and anyone else not familiar with the system, GLONASS has been around for a while, the first satellite has been launched in 1982. The navigational system has been used for military purposes only. As being sad the project is becoming commercialized, that's where the GPS got a head start.
Secondly, what you have to bare in mind is that GLONASS system is more accurate then the GPS, meaning the tracking of the movement and the location.
and to wrap this all up, ain't it good to bark when the earth underneath your feet is crumbling...
