"In the sphere of Venus, I learned war. In this age Lurga shall descend. I am the Pendragon."
When I read the headline "Whedon done with Television" I immediately assumed that he had given away his copy of Marquee Moon.
what about "The World of Null-A"? Supermen aplenty.
please please please let there be some gigantic fringe/lost tie-in! please oh god please!
I can't believe someone beat me to 'The Word for World is Forest' by LeGuin. While dated in its' execution and depiction, 'Forest' is thematically timeless; the setting is obviously an analogue for both the war with Vietnam, and Manifest Destiny. When fuzzy little green men are taught the power of murder, the following societal paradigm shift has a predictable resonance, echoing, LeGuin tells us at the end, into all their respective generations.

It's not hard to figure why this story was left off the list. Ursula K. LeGuin, after all, uses much of her material as a platform to denounce violence. This is one story where violence is indeed almost necessary, but the Skreechies, as they're derogatorily named by their brutal human overlords, are seemingly forever scarred by the introduction of defensive violence into their tiny little world.

It's a hard universe for little things.

big ups for including darkwing duck. when there's trouble, you call D.W.

Let's get dangerous.

how bout some clips from 'memoirs of an invisible man' with chevy chase and daryl hannah? as i recall, it ain't half-bad. but then, that would be defying the purpose of found footage, wouldn't it? nevermind. on with clips from such classics as 'encino man' and 'the fly 2'!
Haha. Out-Frank-Millered himself. What a talentless prick. Letting him hold the power to adapt the wonderful work of Will Eisner is an absolute affrontery. Giving him more big projects like Buck Rogers and expecting him to not out-Frank-Miller himself some more is like me asking my dog to spell his own name. Sure, it's only four letters, and it's a really easy name, but he's a fucking dog and he can't help not knowing how to spell. Frank Miller can't help being a sloppy artist, a blunt, marginally talented writer or a big fat sexist asshole. He just can't.
would somebody PLEASE stifle this motherfucker! isn't it bad enough he's trying to get his giant piece of poorly drawn, unintelligible shit, RONIN, to the big screen? Ave maria!

my good taste screams!

the main difference between crap like this and muppet babies is that muppet babies had awesome songs.
Looks...awkward. Like if you touch it, it's just gonna feel like rubbery fake skin. Like a kids toy, or something.

Now, I would never (ever!) take a negative position on BSG accessory fun, but this just seems impractical. Am I supposed to sell my trusty Mac and lay down some big bills to have a crappy BSG Dell? Sorry, Carter. Magic me up a Battlestar electric razor and we'll talk.
