Good God, you want to have to lug a fish tank out of your cube when the company betrays and dumps you? That has got to be the worst idea I've heard since the dot-bomb blowup.
Been there. Done that. Got the cracked ribs.
@Jessy Jacobs: It could be worse. Ron Howard said he and his wife gave their kids middle names related to where the kids were conceived. The broke the chain with one of them because they thought "Toyota" was not a good middle name.
@Athensjail: It is impossible to underrate Milla Jovovich. She is basically a painted stick, both in her form and in her "talents."
For your sake, I truly hope and pray that only sensible adults read this fascinating article. If it is read by children or those of slightly diminished capacity, that fact that you did not start your article with dire warnings and denials of responsibility may lead you into a serious liability issue. Pray God you have the caution to edit your piece.
This advice about putting in numbers is a load of garbage to someone who's not involved in sales. How the hell do you quantify your "achievements" when you job was to write an API document?
Geez, all of you forgot latinum,a substance so valuable the Ferengi base their entire space-faring economy on it..
If you vacuum weld unobtainium with vibranium, that makes Pollywannacrackerene.
I gather that in your universe, the words "beautiful," "lurid," and "garish" are interchangeable.
@bwcbwc: Military survival schools go by the increasing-3s rule: You can survive 3 minutes without air, 3 hours without shelter (think being lost in a snowstorm), 3 days without water, and 3 weeks without food. Of course, the last week of that 3 weeks you'll be too week to do anything.
@firstofnormalin: Right, and all those decades of research by the AF and NASA that says otherwise - you in your infinite wisdom have determined their findings were all wrong? Change your brand of opium - what you're smoking now is way too strong for you.
@FrankenPC: Not at that the planned exit altitude. The air is so thin up there that for anything moving at less then reentry speed, there's no significant problem. Obviously he'll sooner or later reach an altitude where his speed will drop below supersonic, because of friction. That brings up the real danger of a jump like this - going through the transsonic speed zone. Weird and unnatural things happen above Mach 0.72 - there's a chance if he doesn't maintain good enough attitude control, i.e. if he he lets his limbs get too far out of position, he could be essentially ripped apart by the buffeting.

In any case, I still think Kittinger is more admirable. This guy is doing it for profit. Kittinger did it on straight pay for the good of the service.
