I'm like that too. I had about 7 episodes of Supernatural on my DVR two weeks ago, waiting for me to get over my fear of how terrible it would be, so I could watch. They were, alas, worse than I thought. Fringe, on the other hand, remains a nice cool palate cleanser. You should catch up, it's good right now!

Exactly. I think there's a good chance that a significant portion of their base will be permanently turned off (both liberal and conservative), but they will attract new folks, the die-hards won't go anywhere, and they will probably be able to woo some of the pissed off folks back once things cool down. They will hire the best media and image consultants to re-build the brand. IMO, with the amount of money behind this org, nothing short of a Sandusky is taking them down.
I really think re-organization is the best we can hope for- and call me a cynic, but I'd bet 90% of that will be cosmetic, not substantive. I think the way this situation was resolved is a victory for women's health, but I don't think the general public is angry enough to make the scandal stick.
Komen is, unfortunately, too big to fail as far as the nonprofit world goes. I know they've taken a hit, but I'm afraid that they, their thinly-veiled political agenda, and their awful pink marketing will be with us for some time. I truly hope that this outrage has at least made organizational change more likely for them.

That is ridiculous. Some days a nice helping of fresh fruit is all that stands between me and 2 slices of red velvet cake. Plus it's a beneficial sugar that your body can process (unlike HFCS) AND it is mitigated b ythe fiber in the fruit, so it has a less significant effect on blood sugar. Not to mention all of the nutrients your body needs that come in great quantities through fruit.
Folks like that are why people think Atkins dieters are nuts. They do the low-carb movement a disservice.
