I'm not convinced the "Epitaph One" events necessarily need to come true. There's a 3% chance, after all, that civilization doesn't collapse. :) Will be very interested to see how Whedon & Co. choose to end the series. I hope it's neither total apocalypse or total "heroes save the day," but something more ambiguous and unsettling.
