I don't feel like I'm smart enough to ask any questions about the book since I only really got the "Surface Detail"s when I read it. But I just wanted to say "The Culture" is my favorite sci-fi universe. Woo!

@wishywashy: I think for true safety of the women we need to have male and female only flights. As I've heard repeatedly in this thread women can't trust men not to be rapists.

I think this post is spot on. Hit girl is the hero of the movie and twice rescues Kickass. She only needs to be rescued because she uses up all her ammo killing 50 guys and then loses the throwdown fight with the main enemy...which Kickass would have lost instantly.
This guy is far too picky. My undead in Warcraft doesn't look anything like anyone. Their choices of hair color or green or purple. Also, his example in Elder Scrolls is bad. The races that have high int are Elves, halflings, and lizardmen. They don't look much like white people either.
I just bought the steed. It's cool looking and well worth it to me.
If by "Too Japanese" they meant the punishing time limit that makes you hate other parts of the game like the guy on the radio...then yes, get rid of that.

Did square fire all their programmers during the merge with Enix or what? First it's "we didn't put cities in the game because it's too hard" and now they fail at basic video compression?
