How about some scroll-bar love on the right-hand frame? I hate trying to scroll with my touchpad, and don't always have a mouse hooked to my netbook.
My thoughts exactly. There are tons of photoshop tutes on the web, and the limited gimp tutorials I've seen have been of varying quality. I'd love to see an in-depth look at how gimp works, if for no other reason than to make people aware that it is a pretty solid program-despite the propaganda.
As of right now, you can't really stream netflix on a linux computer. It relies heavily on the DRM aspects of Microsoft Silverlight, and the linux equivalent doesn't support DRM. That said, some of the set-top streaming devices (like Roku) do run on linux, but they have drm built into the hardware, if I understand correctly.

I think, once you've run puppy for a while, the ubuntu-like distros will seem sluggish and bloated to you. At least, that's the case for me. Sure, ubuntu is more popular and more polished, but puppy is a tight little lightweight distro. #openthread
The one thing keeping me from going full-time puppy linux on my home computer is a lack of netflix streaming ability. Not really puppy's fault, but it's still aggravating. #openthread
Any advice on mattress shopping? I need a full-sized mattress and I'm looking to spend around $500 to $600--it's been so long since I bought a mattress that the prospect is a little overwhelming. #openthread
The Captain America movie is looking pretty good. I hope it can live up to the hype. The costume looks great.
I don't know if it's because of my browser (opera 11) or not, but I don't have a "blog view" button.
edit: Oh wait, there it is--on the header. Why isn't it on the right sidebar with the "home" button?
I hated the new layout on io9 when it was rolled out. Can't say I've warmed up to it since. I have noticed a marked decrease in my desire to visit and attempt to navigate that site since the change, and now I fear the same will be true for my beloved lifehacker and for gizmodo. It's a shame really, because, from a user standpoint, nothing was broken. I don't understand why you "fixed" it. The whole layout is awkward and overcomplicated.

For a site that touts the "keep it simple" mantra so much, I'm very dissapointed.
@chefgon: Can you save the notes to your computer?
I would drop a c-note on one of these things today if it was available, and if it worked as advertised. That thing is beautiful, and it's just the middleman I need for my note-taking and organization needs. I'm having trouble believing it, though. Considering how long a kindle takes to refresh pages, I can't imagine this thing would be super responsive, but I guess I'll have to wait and see. I can totally see this being useful in a school setting, too.
@Michael Li: Hmm... didn't realize it wasn't working. Try this: [flic.kr]
I'm going all anti-colour at the moment, using a picture I took.
Or check out the cookie aisle at your local Dollar General Store. They've got knock-offs for around $2 a box. They're great. Then make a donation directly to your local scout troop, if you want to support them.
Sub-$200 iPad!

I kid. I kid.

How did you manage to edit your comment? Oh wait, you loaded this from classic view, didn't you?
Thanks, I guess I missed that. I was too distracted by all the flashy new glitz.
Hopefully that's just an oversight.
