As Princess Banana Hammock pointed out, following both Facebook pages is the best way to go. They usually release tickets on Fridays (I've seen them post about them around 11-4), so keep watch on the pages. I've managed to easily snag tickets to the Daily Show (twice) and the Colbert Report this way.
Well, one should keep in mind that in the canon of Star Trek, technically, it no longer serves as "our possible future" but a definite alternate future. In the original Star Trek (TOS through VOY) timelines, and even in the new-JJ Abrams timeline (which technically just starts before TOS), Earth is ravaged in the mid-to-late 90s by a Eugenics War followed by a nuclear World War III. They never get to the youth-powered social networks that allow the world to rapidly get smaller in the mid 00s. They pretty much go from "oooh, this is to the Internet, let's start up our AOL discs and use our dial lines to connect to this crappy to GeoCities site" to "Holy crap, everyone's dead!"

After the wars, everyone pretty much putters around nomadically or in scarcely holding together cities until the Vulcans show up - and suddenly they have all this insanely powerful technology and everyone has a purpose in rebuilding their planet and now getting out into the galaxy. It seems logical to me in the context of that history, society would evolve to where most people don't need to screw around on a Facebook during the day because they're stuck in their cubical job that they're only half interest in.

It's referencing American Psycho, in which Patrick Bateman (played by Christian Bale), our resident Wall Street psychopath often goes on a long speech about the ups and downs of various 80s mainstays such as Phil Collins or Huey Lewis to his victims before slaughtering them.
Just got back from seeing it for lunch. Pretty great film. The ending battle scene through downtown Seattle with the viewpoint jumping from personal camera, to camera phone, to police helicopter, etc. was seamless and amazing.
Pretty much all the deceased New Mutants have returned in the last several years in traditional X-Men manner.

It turned out Douglock was really just Warlock reanimated by the Phalanx back in the '90s with Ramsey's memories. At some point, Douglock was used by the Red Skull for an attack on S.H.I.E.L.D. - with the trauma jarring Warlock to remember who he was. After his brief 1999 solo series, Warlock went back out into space to amend for the actions of his Technarch species. After the events of Annihilation: Conquest, he returned to Earth.

In Magik's case, it's not really Illyana. After Inferno, Belasco bent time / space to resurrect the Darkchylde for his own purposes. Eventually, she ran into the X-Men and has been working with them / causing problems in the last couple years as, well, she's without a soul. With the most recent New Mutants series, she actually managed to secure back a soul. So in a fashion, she is a new "Illyana."

Doug Ramsey is also fully alive again, after being resurrected by Selene for the purposes of killing people during some random storyline.

All I could think of when I saw this
Only because he gave up the ice suit. Once he starts turning people into popsicles and breaking out the puns, he'll be good
In all honesty, there probably isn't any perfect fix to Medicare other than to cryogenically put the Baby Boomers on ice (which is why I'm voting Mr. Freeze 2012)
Aw, you guys had to go and bring logic and reason into this. If you had let him keep tin foil ranting, he would have gotten to the "Obama is leading the Reptilian invasion" part eventually
Look who's vying to break the top 25 in the 2012 Worst States competition
This has always been the next logical step by a lot of the anti-illegal immigrant folks. Once they've found their magical method of tempering down illegal immigration, the next step would always stop actual legal immigration of those they don't want in the USA (that is, brown folk).
Always possible, but not entirely likely. Christie almost seems like he's biding his time for a 2016 Presidential run.
Imagine being some simple goat herder. Just another Tuesday ... gathering up your herd of foul-smelling, noisy, annoying animals - moving them down the long path to your small farm in the shadow of the Throat of the World. You've managed to not, after all these years, lose your herd (or life) to a hungry Giant, Dragon, or (Divines Willing) Sabre-Toothed Cat. And suddenly you hear a rumble ... a thunder like the sound of a dozen stampeding Mammoths (Mammothii?) ... coming down the mountain

And roaring down at you, full speed, is a wave of fucking cheese.
Must every piece of news be straight out of an Onion News headline?
Hate to break it to you, buddy, but no, the United States has not been getting colder over the last 10 years. That's a bit of b.s. peddled by climate change deniers like Mr. Watts (whose blog you linked to ... not exactly an un-biased and peer reviewed piece of information) that's already been thoroughly debunked in the past. Case in point: [www.ncdc.noaa.gov]
I got the impression (based on next week's episode) that it wasn't a shape shifter, but Olivia experiencing some sort of time distortion ... a sort of literal deja vu.
Where in my statement did I accuse you directly of posting edited videos? I pointed out both sides of the political spectrum do it. No one is not guilty. You're sort of proving exactly why most folk tire of the entire endless American Left / Right political war.
Painting entire portions of the American population as a threat because of their political and social stances, presenting edited videos to support one's viewpoints of their opposing side, and demonizing such sides with harsh (and nonsensical / nonfactual, in most cases) names / titles / etc. have often been the few things the hard Left and hard Right have had in common.
I have a question - the blue dude with the glasses on the far top right (next to actual Nightcrawler), is that supposed to be a hipster Nightcrawler or Mystique?
