Thirded (or fourthed, I guess). This is the first time I've bothered to log in and comment since the redesign. It's just that bad.

Okay - back to randomly Googling "Gawker redesign" every few days to see if they've gone back yet. Bye! #offtopic
@Raziel66: Totally agreed. This is so bad I might actually stop checking these.

What's more important: The item that's on sale or the percentage off the original price? According to this layout, it's the percentage off.
@hillstrubl: I third the motion. Really, guys, are you trying to alienate a portion of your readership?
I love how this is an advertisement post, yet it's likely to stir up nothing but discontent.

I suppose that the only thing worse than being covered negatively is not being covered at all...
Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm pretty sure that Crysis was on sale from $20 yesterday. The Maximum Edition is back at $40 today.
@Illundiel: Nice attempt to find a Christian bias here, but since Spielburg is Jewish, I'm going to say you're a tad off.

The Macguffin has very little to do with the acceptance of the films - It's the writing, plain and simple.
@N@tedog: Seriously. That price is pretty amazing, too. I was looking at the set just the other day for about $100. Awesome!
Wait, the Wii is normally unavailable? Maybe y'all should just come by my local Wal-Mart...
...and if you're not a member of Costco, you can't get the Lever 2000. Guess I'll have to go unwashed a little longer!
So I'm all for posting contests and all, but the Direct2Drive Mass Effect 2 contest requires you to actually purchase Mass Effect 2 to be entered in the contest. How is that dealworthy?
How about Isobelle, the "sherriff" of Otherville from S3? She showed up, acted all menacing for about one whole episode (Stranger in a Strange Land), and then disappeared into Lost history.
@Al Swearengen: Dude, no one is saying that Singer was the first. He just happened to be the first to take superheroes other than Superman and Batman and turn them into a wildly financially successful franchise. I'd agree that it was probably just as much timing as it was Singer, but he did a decent job and studios headed that direction.
@capryor: Yes, because they'd like to ensure that music other than boy-band pop continues to be made for years to come. Really, though, thanks for your efforts to that end.
I didn't realize the ratings have been sliding. That's too bad because this one seems to be: A) One of the few new shows I'm really getting into this season, and B) Just about the only decent chance we have of seeing aliens on network TV anytime soon. Watch this, guys!
@cc82: So that link is very interesting, but I have a hard time taking someone seriously who spells "hurdles" as "hurtles". That's more than a typo, it's a think-o.
@rebelj12a: Listening to the first track now. Awesome mash-up of the Beatles' solo work! This is totally worth a listen just for the fun of trying to pick out all the sources.
@tande04: I'd agree that it's a stretch from that screenshot. It's been a while since I've seen it, but it's much, much clearer from the DVD. Of course, even that doesn't make ST:TMP any more bearable to sit through... #r2d2
This echoes back to Star Trek: The Motion Picture in a way - There is a scene when the Enterprise is flying through V'ger that you can spot Darth Vader in the trippy effects. (Miss Piggy too, but since she's not from Star Wars, I don't think she counts) Anyone else know about this or have a good link to an image? #r2d2
