Yes, the awful, overblown, angsty, inane and downright stupid story of most FF games since 7 was missing - hallelujah! Definitely one of the major plus points of 12 - shame is was back in full force in 13 (along with some of the most irritating characters to date!)
I loved 9, but I loved 12 more - please make the next one more like 12 - less story, more awesome exploring and clever combat!
