Great post! This Christmas I didn't buy a new smartphone, but I remember when I upgraded my iPhone 1G to 2.0 I thought "What now?"
I made my own side by side Windows 7/Mac side by side setup pretty sweet with an old mac
1. Download screenrecycler and run it on the new maching and run jollyfast vnc on the other
2. Get virtualbox and put windows 7 on it
3. Put the VM windows on the old machine screen
4. make it fullscreen
You have one mouse and you can go from mac to windows 7 running side by side. Remember you will need a fast computer with at least 2GB of memory(mine ran average speed at that) because it is using the main computers memory and you are only using the old machine's screen

How do you think your phone constantly shows you how many bars you have? its because its constantly connected! And now the gps is running to which is attracting more data to the phone--your head
so no one else cares about the health issues with this thing? This is like talking on the phone for an hour because the thing is stuck to your head. Hardly anything between. All that radiation could kill a whole lot of brain cells before you know it.
