@Ruthless if you let me: i try every week to find another reason to tune in to the next flash forward. every week it fails to make it happen for me.
john cho's harold & kumar series is probably the biggest reason i continue to watch this chore of a show.
that and finding Gabrielle Union cute as hell.
flash forward is a snoozer.
as for V, the ratings suffered from the hiatus, lost 33% of its audience since coming back. doesn't look promising for V.
watch it twice, before passing judgement.
that being said, i loath the changes to the theme/opening.
matt smith is awesome. too early to call him the best doctor ever, some are, its just too early to say that. he's good.
moffat makes a solid script with great respect and nuance to the other doctors.
the new companion will make a lot of people say, "billy who?"
@Ghost_in_the_Machine: yeah its a real emo boo hoo moment at the end of every episode. cue the "so you had a bad day" sound track of the week.
better idea, the last 2 minutes of each episode features Lt James working out to some junk tune while doing aerobics each week..
@Ghost_in_the_Machine: have to agree with the music montage at the end of every episode. i absolutely hate it. feels like some attempt to make the show appeal the grey's anatomy's audience.
musically, nothing has wrecked a genre show this badly for me since maybe enterprise's theme. (well and the new who intro).
do i wish they would drop the SGU music sequence at the end of each episode. doubt they will since, its 2 minutes less of script they have to do each week. and its cheap to fill and episode will people staring blankly into space or a wall with music..
not sure what part of flash forward has failed, the premise, the casting, or the show runners.
can't blame abc, they've continued to try and save this show from itself. letting the show continue to air. fox would have already pulled flash forward and let the remaining episodes rot until a dvd release or syfy showed the episodes in a couple of years.
is flash forward boring or does the viewer just not care about the characters?
I've tried to see something worthwhile in flash forward, its just hard to watch, and a chore to watch.
Whereas, V, actually has a moment or two, that makes me willing to tune in for the next episode.
@Dan2593: think we covered chicken or egg relationship back at comment #4
BTW - less than 24 hours until the premiere.....argh.. the waiting is the hardest part..
@smapdi: nod, show was canceled before it ever aired. they stopped production almost as soon as it started. reason only 4 episodes were shot. which is a shame, the show could have been promising, if given half a chance.
