Don't you hate it when you see a family out at the zoo or something and Dad has his D3, taking pictures of the kids. They should just use their phone like everyone else.
I think that the big death is going to be a character that is introduced in the same episode that they are killed. Maybe someone like Taylor's other son or Shannon's brother or someone like that.
What the heck does this thing do? I bought an Icon and when I plugged it in to get the latest updates I get an add for a bracelet. I thought it went around your ear. Are you supposed to talk into your wrist like a CIA agent on TV?
It always bugs me too when people say something like "a distant solar system" when I know there is only one star called Sol. Wouldn't another group of planets with a star in the middle be considered a planetary system?
It feels like they expected this show to be canceled after the first couple of episodes and that is all they planed for. Now that the show is catching on the writers are scrambling for a plot arc for the series. I will continue to watch, hoping the writers get it together and give us something worth watching.
I like the show for the special effects but some of the sappy family stuff is getting on my nerves. Still, I would rather see a good dinosaur show with corny family undertones that lasts for a few seasons than a fantastic, gritty, well directed dinosaur show that gets canceled after 6 episodes.
"Ron Moore's Battlestar Galactica didn't leave much territory unexplored," You are joking right? Did you ever consider what happened on any of the other planets? Moore's BSG only visited Caprica. What happened on the other 11 colonies. Did any other FTL enabled spaceships survive? What were the Cylons doing in that 40 year period before the war? There are several story lines that could be made into a two hour movie. I would hope that the new movie was based more on the original Larson series. That series was hampered by the loss of John Dykstra as special effects producer after the pilot and the lack of money to create a full universe. The show was ahead of its time and deserves another retelling.
What's been bugging me lately is the fact that he T-Rex's head is not shaped like a predator. The eyes are on the side of its head like a dear or a chicken. I think it was fat because it was a scavenger.
I expect Noah Wylie to make a flip comment about putting a computer virus when he goes into the alien ship but if he actually does try to put a virus in their computers I will loose all respect for Stephen Spielberg.
I remember reading about this years ago, I think it was in Omni. The author said that until this technology was available, we would not be able to do large scale space exploration. The thinking is that we could send up a small lander that could build a human habitat from local materials. I am glad to see that scientist are still working on this.
Some movies I want to go see in a theater with a bunch of people on a big screen, like Star Wars or Transformers. Heck, Hangover 2 was great with an audience to laugh along with but other movies don't need a big screen or an audience. Most romances or serious dramas work better at home where you can sit in your recliner in the dark and enjoy a good tearjerker. When I watch movies that seem to drag on for a hour and a half before it gets to the good part it's nice to be able to pause them and go get a snack, take the dogs out or do something to wake me up. I am all for direct to PPV. I am willing to pay the 5 bucks to watch the newest Morgan Freeman movie but I wouldn't bother leaving the house to watch it.
