IMDB sez it's directed by someone named Chris Fisher (who's only ever done TV shows) and written by Nathan Atkins, who has almost no writing credits (lots of "assistant editor" credits though). This is the second io9 story on this flick I've seen that doesn't mention the VERY salient point that Kelly isn't involved. Odd that.

Insults to io9 aside, there is something really weird about the tone of this piece. Like it would be a better fit on TMZ or something. I don't really care about on-set gossip about who's fucking who, and the relevance to SF seems a little bit tacked on. Not bad exactly, just odd to see it here.
@SimonMay: "Import prices" really aren't too bad either for UK DVDs. Amazon UK does a lot of deep discounting, charges pretty reasonably for shipping, AND deducts VAT automatically for US addresses. It's not like buying Jpop CDs at 40-50 bucks a pop plus a gazillion dollars of shipping.

You know, I tried to watch Genesis of the Daleks (making it my first Old Who) to prepare for Journey's End, but I couldn't get through it. All that filler.
The thing is, the new show has just as much filler. It just takes the form of "let's waste five minutes having a good cry about how our mothers don't love us enough" or something equally trite, instead of running up and down corridors.
