@DocSeuss: I'm wondering the same thing right now
@NerD:blogOtaku: I never saw a Miyazaki movie in my life until a couple years ago. Now, at 24, my personal favorite movie is.. Spirited Away.

IMO his movies have much in common with Pixar movies, in that they work for a large variety of audiences.
Breach. I fell asleep in the theater, then left when I woke up. What a horrible movie..
The end of Wall-E was a "bit much?" Have you been outside recently?
@Ghost_in_the_Machine: It would keep the obesity rates down
@SharpnPointy: It was to be a dark and stormy night, and there was a mass of evilly sulking badniks hiding in the gathering gloom.
@Oasx: Matt Damon was sleepwalking through the Departed? Whoa
@Kamenwati: God, yes it would. I never saw more than a few episodes as a kid, and when I went back and watched it last year I did so without rose-tinted nostalgia goggles... and man, that show kicked a LOT of ass.
I had expected to see Berserk in here somewhere.
of course its power metal You could play a Fallout-style post-apocalyptic game, in which case this song would be perfect [www.youtube.com]!v=JOHCZDrRKOk Stupid new youtube format doesn't let me link videos anymore :(
@NotGodot: "Supposed" to? Despite a long, long track record that suggests otherwise? Also, nice work with that first paragraph there. Very sound.
@NotGodot: There is also the chance that only a small subset of the population enjoys Kubrick movies because they have little to no mainstream appeal and, possibly, aren't entertaining. It is likely that the Academy is a part of that substantial group of people that don't "get" Kubrick.
Thank God you didn't put Moon as a snub for Best Picture. Best Actor, yes. Best Picture, not even close. The movie starts with so much promise and works its way up to a stupendously lackluster ending.
I have a hard time hating the Catwoman movie because Halle Berry was incredibly hot for its entire duration, except when she was replaced with that plasticky CG stunt double. She is pretty smokin at the best of times but her costume in Catwoman was mindblowing.
@The Squid: Its true. Not the most original movie.. not the strongest script.. the dialog was pretty lackluster. But the guy just knows exactly what audiences want to see.
@HerrMike: Nope! Couldn't possibly be, because people with brains hate plot holes.. which Dark Knight had by the inexplicably-full-of-explosives ferry load
@DangerousDac175: You don't decide what the next Star Wars is.. popular opinion does. I think it disagrees with you.
@Lincolnsbeard33: This is an annoying nitpick. First time - they are shooting up from the ground. Second time - they are dive bombing at crazy speed and shooting straight down. There is a lot more force involved with one of those scenarios...
@TomXP411: +1, big time. I've always hated how in movies, some earth-shattering blow is landed and the victim flies back 40 feet at roughly three miles per hour, or they jump to the top of a bamboo tree with less velocity than a six year old gets jumping on a trampoline. Watchmen recently got it right, but Chinese kung fu movies still have a long ways to go..
