@JSharkey - Robot Combat is awesome. Just like any other hobby, only expensive, time consuming, obsessive and untelevised. Otherwise Totally FTW.
Robot Laser Tag. At RoboGames. That's all I'm saying.
@braak - sorry, I am smoking crack - the other humanoid challenges are autonomous, the but the Kung Fu is standard Robo-One rules. [robogames.net]
@braak - They have a full-on double elimination tournament against each other, using the standard Hurocup ruleset.
@Ryan H - How is that different from R/C again?

Anyway, there are 60 other events which do feature autonomous robots, so don;t get yer panties in too much a bunch. . .

Dude, the Mars Rover is essentially a radio-controlled car with spikes, but people still give it mad props as a robot.

Also, Robogames is not just about the combat, there are literally over 70 events in which people can compete. We get people who come in for the combat and stay for the soccer. Or the hockey. Or the biped kung Fu. Or the Marathon. Or the ribbon climbing. Or the RoboMagellan. Or Flash-O-Matic making margaritas in the giant 240-cc v-8 Blender. You get the idea.

I coudl get all ranty about the mechanics and tech involved in robot combat, too, but whatever, come and see tiny little cubs challenge each other in sumo matches instead, if you want to. We also have beer.

Mmm, blasphemy. . .Tom Baker is really the only True Dr. Who. I've seen the new guys and they just don't it for me as much as they might. Besides, Tom Baker does the announcing for Little Britain which just makes him cooler. If you like Little Britain. Which I do.
That would depend on your own personal taste. I, personally, would much rather be flirting with Rube Wadell all night long than watching yet another blandly attractive chick in an evening gown puke into the Hyatt Regency lobby fountain again.
Not necessarily, these are just a few I picked up with about ten minutes of research, that I know will be fun.
Dude. We're sensitive hipsters. It's emo and hip to get SAD.
Hey Default Atty- I am definitely not arguing that she knows her stuff. Cheese snobs are awesome, I am one as well and the risotto is worth it. However, she's still filled with hatred. The one does not cancel out the other.
Wow. I have new respect for Canadians now.
Jasmine Tea House at Mission and Valencia delivers, has no MSG and their ostrich rocks the nerd bunker. Their veggie stuff is actually interesting as well.
Re: veggie options, yes, vegetarian is sort of a foreign language a lot of the time. . .they always have Chinese broccoli, but it's always drenched in oyster sauce, which is yummy but not vegetarian. . .

Whichever.whatever, the drunks around Golden Boy are a jolly part of the experience! Rarebreed, I agree about Seniore's, they do have an uncommonly good product. Should have included them.
ow. ow. allergic. . .to. . .puns. . .hives. . benadryl. . .epipen. . .EPIPEN. . .
Mmm, halter to-- I mean, cupcakes.
