@Darklighter: As a native Californian that left to move to Texas, I'd say that Daveinva hit the nail right on the head...except he didn't detail the hordes of morons that cry for help out of the pit they dug for themselves...perhaps more charitable than I.
"He made a film that was in very strong condemnation of the military in the post-Vietnam world. I wanted to make sure we kept that message in the film." Well that's unfortunate, I wanted to see it.
I've loved the book since childhood, and continue to read it every once in a while. I sure wish my time in the Army had been as interesting as Heinlein's vision...although I am in 100% support of the voting franchise being tied to civil service. Nice write up Josh!
This game will be fun, and if it only meets the standard of 2.0, then it will be a success. You can pm me if otherwise DS, as your apology for being WRONG will be schweet, buttercup. Now if only a reboot of "The Blackhole" was in the works...
What an enormous pile of steaming shit. Zombies, and the fear of being a mindless ravenous undead pre-date all the pretentious BS spouted. Spend some time in Haiti, BTDT.
As for modern allegory, the odds are infact in favor of rugged individuals escaping and surviving the hordes of zombies...by their wits and firearms as our government denies and tries to cover up whats really going on. It's not hordes of illegal alien undead that folks are fighting...it's their moms, kids, dads and friends turned horribly wrong, brainless consumers, that can only be stopped through resolute and unwavering vigilance.
Biotech? BullShit, it's fear of liberal democrats.
Ok, maybe not but it's just as valid as the other tripe posted. #zombies
Wow...some folks want to make a cool little vampire movie into something more marketable to a wider audience and DOOM! I liked it fine, but I'd probably rent an English remake.
