I was so scared when they hooked up the memory viewer things that it was going to be a clip show that anything they showed that wasn't was going to be awesome. As it was, funny stuff - I'm only sad that Wallace Shawn didn't get an 'inconceivable' in there.
Right..... What's a cubit?
The urge to don spandex and go beat up bad guys is itself a leetle nutso, no?
Perhaps we find out how tasty unicorn meat is.
Jim Henson studios, grab those rights and make this happen. Just too awesome!
Good points! So I guess they must be classifying the radiation from the bluetooth headsets they're recommending as "Probably not possibly carcinogenic to humans."

The safest thing would probably be to go with carrier pidgens ... as long as they don't have avian flu.
I am most definitely bummed that SGU is over. I hope someone picks it up again, whether its in the form of a season 3 or a movie - hell, I'd settle for a comic book at this point. I found this article over on Joseph Mallozi's blog [josephmallozzi.wordpress.com] where he talks about some of the ideas they were batting around for the next season. Worth a read, if only to help salve the wound.

Also seem to have the components slightly off.
ooooo io9 you got me!

I dvr this show and watch it on Saturday nights, so when I saw the SGU recap article spoilerfobicly tried to ignor it. But I couldn't miss the headline, which I took to mean that SGU was going to kill off a character. I spent the entire episode thinking "oh she's going to get it," or "I wouldn't mind if he went," or "NOT BRODY AND VOLKER! The wouldn't...would they?"

It made for an interesting hour of telivision.
Awesome... every hair on my arm is still standing at full attention.
I'm not going to make it in time for the book club meeting on Surface. I'm on Matter right now. It took me a few books to get into the whole feel of it; not really until Player of Games. I can't imagine Mr. Banks will be quitting the culture universe anytime soon. There doesn't seem to be any limitations to where he can take it.
I really enjoyed it last year, mainly because I ended up reading books I wouldn't have read otherwise. This years list looks good for that too. If you've already read three of them, do you have an early favourite?
Yay! my new reading list is up! Last year I made it a project to read all the Hugo nominated novels before the winner was announced. It was a lot of fun. Now, I just have to finish the Culture novels.
@ViperVin: Good line, though I thought "it's a font" came a close second.
@Wolfsheim:It took me a trip to IMDB to figure out where I saw him before. I guess now we know what he did after defeating the Gua. Saving the world don't pay the bills, so ...capitalism!
Please don't watch Fringe. You wouldn't like it. No fun at all. Nope.
Except when Hugo's in town

I think you mean Tokin' :)
Ok I'll jump in and ask the dumb question. If honey prevents biofilms like plaque from forming, why aren't I brushing my teeth with it?
