Arnold in Terminator 5 could work because NO ONE would expect an old, wrinkled, saggy man to be a cybernetic killer. He would be the perfect infiltrator.

Honestly, I'm OK without Arnold in it, although a cameo would be cool. I guess I would just hope that they make this film darker and actually get a decent script which I can't see why that is so hard to do. Megan Ellison said the new film will definitely be Rated R although obviously that won't make or break the film, but it might help with keeping it darker and less "family friendly".

I say pick up where Salvation left off. I don't like the idea of them picking and choosing elements of the story to keep. Also the future setting is good - we've had the present day setting, its done to death. I actually liked what McG did with the visuals of the film and the sets were cool, although that is the only thing about his work on the film I liked. I would love to see David Fincher or Darren Aronofsky direct T5, I've never seen Justin Lim's work.

As for Indy 5, while I thought Indy 4 sucked balls, I'll probably pay to see Indy 5, but I won't like it.

god god god. How did a great "Ask a physicist" thread turn into a "god" conversation based on a single line from the article of minimal importance? If I was Dr. Goldberg I might feel just a bit insulted, or at least disappointed...
I'd like to think of this being used by Stephen Hawking as an easier way for him to communicate his thoughts. But without a filter I'd imagine it going a little something like this:

"Black holes will evaporate over a long period of time as eventually anti-matter holy balls that student in the second row is a piece of ass falls into the event horizon while the...."

Don't want to deal with shit like SOPA and PIPA? Then we need to stop using/ supporting video "sharing" sites and just wait to get the show legally.

Did I just advocate responsibility? What is this world coming to???

Yeah, Quantum of Solace... WTF was that pile of shit 90's action movie.

I do think Daniel Craig makes a good James Bond. I can't imagine anyone else doing it better these days.

And "Skyfall" really isn't that bad, certainly not as bad as Quantum of Solace - I mean, I'm pretty well read and everything but that means absolutely dick to me even after seeing the film although admittedly I don't remember much of it.

Javier Bardem as the villain, I can live with that. He certainly did a great job in Old Country.
What did Danny say about putting salt in my eyes?
You stay out of this, FREAK!
"Relatively few stars" in a couple hundred billion galaxies each with a couple hundred billion stars is still a lot of stars that have the right stuff to create life.

So put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Total accident, I'm sure.
Mr. Diatom, would you like some salt with your photon?
If subatomic particles truly behave "randomly" (ie: probability wave) then maybe the very small causality violations happens on a small scale all the time, everywhere.
WTF American Horror Story? What was that POS useless clip? I wasn't interested really to begin with and that staged "reality" clip was terrible. I was at least expecting the host or "rubberman" to kill her at the end which would have at least been an unexpected twist.
I think the "hybrid" character was great. I think McG had good visuals for the film. But obviously the story went from EXTREMELY TERRIBLE (seriously, read the original script), to just "terrible". I did like that a lot of the future scenes were during the day as it was just a bit different than we had come to expect. But yeah, there was hardly any terminator wars going on and the Skynet/Serena thing was just retarded. Probably the worst thing about Salvation was that McG completely over sold the entire thing.

They really could continue the story from Salvation and really they should. At this point, if they start picking this and that to take out from the story line or go back in time and re-write history, it is just going to become a bigger mess.

Next movie - have John Connor and Kyle Reese end up in a terminator concentration camp, just like how Kyle explained in the original Terminator movie. Now that John has that scar, Skynet can't recognize him. I guess it would have to not know what Kyle looks like either.. John can reboot the resistance from the camp. Etc etc.
Yeah I don't think I would necessarily call this a setback, maybe more of a reason to have hope for the franchise.
Better start conserving hydrogen.
Humans are so weird.
I'm assuming when Sean Penn's character is mourning the loss of his brother, it happens closer to the present day, while they were probably born sometime in the 50's. Brad Pitt's character will be (and look) older. It took me a while to figure that out though.
Headline rewrite:

Fermilab is at a Planck's length from discovering a brand new subatomic particle.
What is the third particle in the nucleus that is repeatedly referred to in the article?
