Dark and gritty just doesn't do it for me. I still think Marvel's comic adaptation has the best artwork for Oz. It captures the essence of the story, something that's lost in the darkening in this pictures. Still pretty damn cool though, especially #6.
Was casually glancing over this book several times but never really had incentive to give it a go. But hey, it's free so might as well take advantage of it. Yay io9!
Visuals were absolutely amazing. 3D or might as well just go watch Frog Princess and rub sand in yours eyes. I wouldn't even call it a movie, I'd call it a trip to Pandora for 13 bucks which is pretty damn cheap. I was expecting to be underwhelmed by the story due but found it engaging and the characters totally lovable, regardless if it's a rehash. It's just traditional story telling with blue frosting, but tastefully done. Watched the midnight screening, and I'd do it again. And perhaps a third time, but then that would be it.
@ctuley: Or maybe that's just the way that her character is. I think that her vendetta against Caroline (along with Topher's failed disruptor attempt) is what solidifies that Bennet is not an active. Why imprint an active while keeping intact past memories? Unless an older Bennet did exist, and did to Glau what they did to Perin. But I see that less likely.
They seriously trusted THIS guy? This guy's got no redeeming quality. He's a douchebag, he fails as a director, he's completely full of himself, and his name makes me want to get fast food instead of watching a movie. I just find it funny how he automatically assumes that he'd be directing the 2 sequels when the fate of the franchise is still iffy.
@cadrina: A second link since the first youtube one got taken down.
Well, I guess we know who's gonna win this one. You could even pit River Tam against herself and she still wouldn't lose, they'd both win.
Considering that Buffy is somewhere in the 'verse, I don't think River can be stopped.
I loved the ambiguity that went alongside the show. Having knowledge of absolutely every element and story doesn't really leave me satisfied. Plus, it gives me a reason to watch it more than once or twice. The small or minute details such as the Terminator's writing style really do make the viewing experience that much better. It's all these little things that give a deeper look. But I still think the scientist shoulda had a death like being grabbed in the crotch like in the bloopers.
It's been a couple hours since I seen this and I still don't know what to pick.
How about a killer robot driving instructor that travels back in time for some reason... And has a talking pie as a friend?
I just don't even know what to say about that atrociously colored Optimus! This made me dig in my old toy chest for my old Transformers toys, only to find Megatron in pieces and bite marks all over Optimus.

I don't have a dog either.

I think good ol' Big Daddy needs a name change to go along with the look. When you're no longer huge and scary, "Big" just doesn't cut it anymore.

This makes me feel like playing the first one again...

@B:

I think I'd prefer to have GLaDOS. A singing one at that.

With a top hat!

Going through this list brings back memories. Oh how I love Seymour and Dug.

I hid under your porch because I love you.

How do you NOT smile at that!?

I've only ever watched G1 and "Beasties" (The name for Beast Wars on YTV). A decade later and I'm still pondering the absurdity of that name.
I've never read the book but my friends have, and they loved it, so I'll probably end up watching it when it comes out. I kinda like these types of movies and plus, Rachel McAdams.
Has it been a month? I think I'm shaking from withdrawal.
