Actually, this happened to a friend of mine. He let someone into his house who he thought was a friend, and was sitting back down at his computer to show him his COH character, and the person shot him in the back of the head. His roommate (also a friend of mine) was taking a nap in the next room when it happened.
I still have nightmares on a yearly basis about Hyperion, the book was so vivid and so unlike anything I had read up to that point, so many years ago. I still occasionally pick up the copy I own and reread it, just to remind myself that the nightmares aren't a product of my OWN warped mind, but rather the mind of a great writer!
This happened to my father once. He mixed up the cable check for the house and rent check for his office. The rent check was drawn on the business account, the cable on the personal account. So not only did the cable company cash a check not made out to them, it was written by a company rather than the individual they were billing!
Needless to say, it was much easier sorting things out with the landlord than the cable company.

BCBS of GA has been pretty good so far... no issues for anyone in my family who has the coverage. No where NEAR as bad as the lousy insurance company I have, Peirce Admin. DONT EVER USE THEM.
Sprint, on the other hand, has pretty much wrecked a friend's credit thanks to billing mistakes that they refuse to fix. To say nothing of brain dead CSRs and signal that's about as reliable as an alcoholic with a gambling problem.
Given as I never travel on holiday weekends... Nope. I spent the same amount of time on the roads as last year - None.
Now if only I didn't live 45 miles from work, without any navigable way of riding a bike safely between here and there. And oh yeah, 10 miles from the closest transit stop.
