Urban looks to be bringing some serious grumpiness to his portrayal of Judge Dredd, though the photo above looks like someone just asked him for a little smile and he's trying to resist...
I was a big Dice Player fan, but it choked on a few MKV files that I had. XDA forums turned me on to BSPlayer Lite and so far it's been able to handle everything that Dice Player couldn't.
I use Skifta ([www.skifta.com]) on my tablet and PS3 Media Server on my PC. Both are free and so far the combo has been able to handle anything I throw at it.
My God....look at all those awesome shows on the other channels.
Missed the part where they were all sucking helium balloons before getting in the car.

Is there something wrong with my ears or is everyone's voice pitched higher than usual?
From the OP: "... this time focusing in on the cultural influences "borrowed" for the Wachowski's Matrix movie."

Why is the word "borrowed" in quotes? The Matrix and the Wachowski's proudly wore all (or most) of these references on their sleeve.

It was a fun trip down memory lane, though. I've got to watch this movie again sometime.
The recipe for success is pretty simple:

Don't do what the 'Wing Commander' creative team did.
As long as farmers are paying their monthly maintenance fees I'm sure they'll be able to download Corn.v.3.0.1 soon enough.
Wow. Just about everything about this looks wrong. I thought they were rebooting the franchise to aim it at a new, younger crowd and make Spiderman fun again, but instead it's an even more serious/gritty take on the character?

"I know: let's do the origin story again and this time we'll add his dead parents into the mix! Now Parker's not only brooding over his dead uncle, but his dead mom and dad too!"

No thanks.
The new Spider Man is more serious than the Raimi films? Seriously? The third Raimi film had almost every character falling to their knees and crying at some point.

When are we ever going to get the cocky, smart-alec Peter Parker/Spiderman from the comics?
So I see the crew of 'Cowboys and Aliens' really wants to stress the point that it's a "genre mashup".
As an Evil Dead fan, how is this supposed to interest me? Evil Dead movies are supposed to be Sam Raimi beating the shit out of Bruce Campbell with his shaky cam.

Diablo Cody, Fede Alvarez....who gives a shit?
Do they also offer some sort of BabySitterPass?
Yep: Virgin Mobile. $25 for 300 talk minutes and unlimited everything else. $40 a month for 1200 talk minutes and unlimited everything else. Plus, your contract is month-to-month and they give you a nice text message before your current month is about to expire and you're due to get billed for the next month.

I switched from Verizon over a year ago and haven't looked back.
My comment wasn't really coming from an angry Star Trek fan point-of-view. I liked the new cast, didn't mind that Abrams decided to do a reboot, etc.

As a regular movie viewer I just really thought the plot/story was horrible. I had actually just watched it for the 2nd time before posting my comment so the horribleness was still fresh in my mind.
If anything, the success of the first Star Trek movie showed that plot/script wasn't important so I'm not sure why they're agonizing over it now.
This movie helped get it back in print. It's widely available now.
Too bad about Ender's Game. There's not a single person involved in that movie that gives me even the slightest confidence it may end up good.
The first time I laid eyes on this crappy sci-fi vehicle I knew nothing else would ever compare...

except maybe the car from The Wraith.
That statement becomes pretty meaningless if used by someone seconds after they reveal they totally missed what the main themes of the book are.

"Reality... and are video games good for you or not?"
