I think people are just getting ever more afraid of each other. The Exorcist centered that introductory fear around a creepy object, but The Last Exorcism makes it a neighbor. A person in a place that seems scary to them. I don't know much about the movie though. I can't speak from that perspective. We should make a strong effort to understand our neighbors and less to demonize them.
@Charlie Jane Anders: I do read the recaps, and maybe I missed something but always seem pretty negative, with one or two exceptions... Maybe we are just on opposite sides of the stick and I like the ones that you don't.
Completely disagree, this episode was excellent. Io9 just hates warehouse 13 for some reason. It makes more sense that time travel can't change the past, and the true art of a story like this is in how the story is revealed. Look at Memento, but I guess you probably liked Memento.
