@jmcm: If something is coming out in June, you can't go back to the drawing board and get industry certifications. There isn't enough time.
Just curious, but is there anything that is legal (criminal or otherwise) about receiving 'stolen' goods etc? Would hate to see the Giz / Gawker media sued into oblivion over this.
Nice thing about this is all it would take is congress to pass a law to give them said authority. (really, stop laughing)
Why would you wait in line when you can have a cup of coffee and watch the sun come up and enjoy the morning at home while UPS brings it by the house? I don't get it. Of course, I may not get it because my tracking status has said 'departure scan' since 4/2 at 4:10AM China time and nothing else.
that's referred to as 'Black Code' in the books and they talk a lot about it. I finished the third in the series shortly after it came out a month or two ago. The ending was unusual but I loved the entire series and the universe it creates. I highly recommend you check it out. even though you have to download it into your brain the old fashioned way
I LOL'd when the satellite came down and the one dude went 'that was the coolest thing I've ever seen'. Multiplayer is a lot of fun too, though I thoroughly enjoyed Battlefield and the others on the PC so I may be biased to liking the MP better than COD:MW
Is the car permanently destroyed though? I mean we're talking destroyed electronics not 'stunned' right?
@Curves: yeah I'm sure Think Secret thought the same thing. The asteroid device that they got sued out of existence over still hasn't come out.
New Google Navigation maybe cheaper but it's not an iPhone app so not much of a comparison there. I would like to see the app be inexpensive/free and you have the ability to buy the state by state map. $50 States = $50.00 so $1 for each state. That way if I'm visiting one I can buy it when I need it as in app content. Not sure why the canadian provinces are $5 each or so
Where CGI ruins it is where it's not needed. Flames for example. I can think of many instances were extra flames were added to an explosion so the actor could 'step over them' or whatever. That's when it's jarring. the biggest challenge for CGI usage in general is when CGI is off in any way, it's horrid. But when CGI is right, you don't see it.
@AldoraGreel: if anyone should be saying ruh roh it's the Buck Rogers guys. The glowing light suit was the original Tron, so having glowing light suits in the follow on movie 20 some years later isn't that much of a stretch.
@eimajtl: I'm not a big fan of AA rechargeable as I've not had good luck with them. I had a set of 16, where I was using 8 / charging 8 for photography flash. Something went wrong and 6 of the 8 got molten hot & popped. Then before that I used the energizer branded ones and within six months they lasted 15 - 20 m before being dead. I was using them primarily with my Canon 550EX flash & it's external battery bank thing. So since then I've not been a fan of them.
@Diziet_Sma: yeah and I know I'm old and all but the 'yo' shit had to go too
i always hate the 'faaaake' cries but on my new PS3 small yanking it doesn't disgorge the power cord and would think she'd have had at least more than a quick yank smash. dunno how mad/strong she was though.
these things are cute, but $1.99? Maybe buying iPhone apps has stunted my view of things but first off the .99 part always annoys me. Make it a nice round number but just seems a bit steep. I'm new to LBP though just got it a few weeks ago when I got my first PS3. So the DLC for this game seems overpriced.
night ranger without sister christian is like rain on your wedding day
@eimajtl: convenience? You still have to pop out the AAs and recharge them, and either you buy extras because you charge and play or not. The rechargeable NIMHs I purchased in the past (long while ago, things may have changed) didn't last as long.
@SuperSonik: True, you can buy lots of batteries and toss them into the landfill. My last set of rechargeable for the Wiimotes that I have are two years old, I was going through batteries about twice a week for a while which probably slowed down as I didn't play as much for a some of that. Personally rechargeable are more convenient for me. It really sucks when you run out and forget to get more batteries.
One thing I"d like to know is if they overcame the 'can't create a time machine backup bigger than a single hard drive' issue that the previous generation did. There was an easy workaround to restore a backup using the migration assistant for the 'can't bare metal restore' feature of it. But there's nothing that would get you around the 'i have 1.2 TB to backup but only 965GB free because i have two 1TB drives in it.' feature. #hpex495review
Or at least with Time Warner they don't tell you they have them, you have to find the right CSR to get one ordered, and then it takes them three days to get it to work right, and every 2 days you have to eject & reinsert the thing to get it to work. Least that was my experience before I gave it back to them.
