Unfortunately, the only other characters the X-men can interact with are Daredevil and The Fantastic Four, since those are the characters Fox owns the rights to. Also, X-Men movies make money, so Fox will never stop making them, thus keeping the rights active. I'm sure Disney could reach into their deep pockets and buy the rights back for Spidey and the X-Men, but that decision probably all teeters on how well Avengers does. If one Marvel Team-Up movie does well, they may want to make more. Asgardian Wars!....or not.
This whole idea makes me uneasy. But...a Christopher Nolan directed Blade Runner? That might be too good to pass up. The real question is: Will they get Harrison Ford's blessing? lol.
That's an interesting take on it. I saw the story as a man hitting rock bottom and trying to control the baser aspects of his personality and find peace. Most of the book is people telling him that he _doesn't_ get it.
I wonder if the movie will have as much emotional impact since the audience has never met Mariko before and by the time of the limited series, comic readers were very familiar with her?
@Bugoongu: I thought Pandora looked great, but to me, no CGI character has yet topped Gollum.
I agree with you about the backlash. I hated hearing everyone who's never seen a sci-fi movie call it the greatest movie ever. To me, it's Dune in a forest.
@Snow leopard: I agree. I thought it was really good, but it does not deserve all this awards buzz and attention it's getting. MAYBE Sorkin's script, which was tight, but that's about it.
Me? I'd go with Inception. Was it perfect? No, but it's the one movie this year that's stuck with me the longest.
@David Alvaro: Hear hear. Gambit is the poor man's Wolverine. It was like Marvel said, "We've revealed too much about Logan...we need a NEW man of mystery!" I hate his face.
