Remember those human skeletons that used to be in your science class? Yeah well, you gotta realize that someone had to disintegrate that body, fish out each bone, and the piece it together. I call shenanigans on this list because that is quite possibly the worst job ever.
In fact, it's one of the few episodes that Dirty Jobs won't even show anymore because of how traumatizing it is.

out of the slew of vampire movies coming out, I think I'm only going to watch this one and Priest (although admittedly I'm only watching that one for eye-candy, not plot).

Hm...the Borg idea for Reboot Trek could be interesting, if only because this version of Kirk is so much more emotionally messed up than the TOS Kirk. It may actually be difficult to yank him out of the collective if he ever gets assimilated.
However, this would make the entire series waaay more dark than what they originally intended. So I think Orci is just tossing crap out there to throw us off the scent.
