It does add something if the technology jump is appropriate. A move to a Blu-Ray drive that isn't tweaked to read the old game format might save Microsoft enough money to boost performance somewhere else. This is even more so if the leap moves to a next gen format like holographic discs (wiki for more info). If I remember correctly there are even engine issues when moving to new gaming technologies. When the 360 came out, they had to slowly edit older Xbox games (through re-leases or patches) to be compatible with the new engine. I can tell you now, with DirectX11, you will only be holding a system back by nerfing it by some degree to accept an older format.
I agree with you. In short, it's not everyone's fault that the system puts focus on a handful of morons. It would be nice if for once, the choice wasn't between "professional politicians" and wealthy business guys.
Nope. This still sucks. I want to pick and choose my channels and not be limited by something as incomplete as Hulu, or this.

Give me a full catalog organized like iTunes, let me pick channels out a la carte (even if it means either sunscribing to the whole channel or just shows), and let me skip the garbage filler channels big cable shoves down our throats. fuck you Lifetime.

You know, there may have been a day long ago when I would have been angered at a system not being backwards compatible. But now? In an age where most gamers move on from one game to the next and play in the "trends" of what their friends are in to, I think we can move on. I totally support the next Xbox not being backwards compatible. Why? Well if your really honest, you're not going back to Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty MW3 after their replacements come out. If you're that desperate to go back, you can always keep your 360 on standby.

Come on people. Progress sometimes demands moving on from the past.

9/10 games are only 720p. Hell, the dashboard is even 1080i. When you play a game at higher resolution are scaling it to 1080i, but the pixel density is only at 720p, and even that has jaggies. If you think you're playing a current gen console at your TV's best.... well you must have a shit tv.
I did this exact thing to my wife. Same gun (almost identical note - even the skull) and everything. I wanted to see how she'd react.

Guess what. She grabbed that gun and dove for cover. Nerf bullets were going everywhere. It was awesome.

I'm in. Not only is that awesome, but I have sent Nerf guns to my brother and his EOD unit.
That took a long assed time. Kind of wish we had that spinning laser from the Captian America movie.
The system that moves the core sample is flexible and can move easily up and down the shafts, even where there are intersections. The entire shaft is also filled with kerosene, which keeps it from filling up or refreezing.
I never thought of that, I just assumed they could sense he is one. That would be sort of cool.
Wait. The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus had the same character played by several different actors... and Hollywood didn't panic.
Booooring. Get back to me when there is an Axis & Allies version that is well executed.

Now to find some people to play with.

Maybe his point. Damn them for no Balrog.

Maybe if these sell well they'll make a big assed 5000 piece special edition Moria set with a Balrog.

Who the hell are those guys? Don't you mean:

Maybe they thought it was actual bacon? There are agricultural regulations on things like meats and dairy. Maybe not to all places... but definitely on Hawaiian flights.
Haha, damn Sony made some heavy assed TVs.
My favorite is definitely the Pioneer Kuro Elite. Amazing TV, but we only use it for movies, and even leaving the pioneer screen saver running for too long can cause slight burn in. Something the newer Elites won't suffer from.

My next TV will hopefully be a next gen model of some sort. It will either be the Sony Crystel LED or one of the competition's OLED sets. On the other hand, maybe it will be a 4K set. What I guess I'm trying to say is that I think I'm good on TV's right meow, but when these are on the market (a couple years?) that is what I'll pick up.

Then again, if something went wrong with a set I have, or I needed to pick up a TV tomorrow? I would definitely go grab that beautiful big bitch 70" Elite that is available now. Problem is, it's so damn pricey.

Man, that was better than matchmaker dot com.
I was a little sad that there wasn't an initial Balrog offering. I was hoping for a giant 5000 piece set like Star Wars often pulls. Maybe that's a result of a well sold series. So buy these!
Funny thing is that I still have that 16:9 Sony Wega CRT in my bedroom too! It is a great TV. Unfortunately, there is a tad bit of magnetic damage in a corner with a bit of green and warping. Nothing crazy though.

I critique a lot of TV's, because I have a lot of TV's. Sort of crazy if I sit back and think about it.

-Sony XBR4 46" LCD
-Samsung 9000 series 3D 55" LED
-Pioneer Elite Kuro 60" Plasma
-Sony Wega CRT (this thing weighs like 500 lbs)
