Aged Spoiler: That was probably my favorite reveal in Uncharted 2 where you only think you're battling crazy arctic apes, but it turns out it was just ordinary people all along. Yep, ordinary people mutated by weird mystical tree sap into immortal purple giants.
I'm just saying if they're going to have these robots don't just have them box. Go big with them - have them play football or something.
I think the problem is having human operators at all. Seems like the fights would be more interesting if they weren't governed by the operators' physical limitations.

I guess my other problem is that they can build these robots but the best they could come up with to do with them was punch each other?
Besides, there's only one sub genre that counts: Doom-Jazz
I'm leaning toward Red Dead Representin'
Is frowny-face optional?
It's like the cover for Gabriel Garcia Marquez's Zelda fanfic.
Don't be crass. It's a cloaca like birds have.
"See, like, my father died, okay? and left the company to me."
When teenage girl Astoria wants to go flying again she mounts Powerglide in his robot form but he just swats her to the ground. That's the start of a healthy relationship.

Astoria: I want to go flying!
Powerglide: I'll send you flying!

It's like the Ike and Tina story but with robots.
Since this is sort of a Star Wars trivia article I thought I'd post two of my favorite Star Wars related things in recent memory.
1. is Patton Oswalt talking about going back in time and getting prequel spoilers from Lucas
[tinyurl.com]

2. is a couple of episodes of the Comedy Bang Bang podcast with Paul Tompkins and Andy Richter. This actually directly relates to number 10 on this list. That bit comes in toward the end of the episode and carries over in a "cliffhanger" to the next one.

I have walked up to that precipice a few times in the last couple of years. So far I've been lucky enough not to fall over. Good luck to you.
Used to? What, did you sell your PS3 to pay for Xbox Live subscription fees?

But seriously, I think we're just about past the point where the differences between console versions is really that significant. Actually, it's the number of discs for LA Noire that's probably the first time since owning both systems I've actually thought about which one to buy a game for.
What is he holding in that picture? Some sort of pregnant coconut spider?
Not quite in the same league, but Matt Berry has two great bits about a severed hand on IT Crowd. One is a robot hand at least.
@Burke: What? No, that's absurd. Carpathia just happens to be the best name for a planet being settled by humanity's last survivors. They were going to go with Mordor, but it didn't have the right ring to it.
@TheControlled: Just keep in mind AP is deeply flawed, but pretty rewarding if you can get past that, especially if you take the dialog in the spirit that you might watch something like The Room.

Also, you want un-titillating sex scenes? Just wait until you've played through Alpha Protocol!
@TheControlled: I was pretty disappointed by that aspect of Mass Effect, as well, especially after seeing the trailer where Shepard chooses to ignore the distress call in favor of completing a more important mission. Maybe it was because so many of the outcomes were represented by dialog variations?

The much crapped upon Alpha Protocol did a really good job in making decisions count, which actually makes a 2nd and even 3rd play through a lot of fun, assuming you can slog through the first one. Fallout: New Vegas is also really good in terms of how player decisions shape the game.

Just sayin' in case you need something to tide you over until DE:HR comes out.
@Garrison Dean: R.O.A.C.H.: Well, maybe with the new writers they'll be able to do a sort of reboot and correct some of this, or at least distract us with shiny new plots:
@WookieLifeDay: Since part of what made Robocop so good was the bits of satire floating around in it, I think I'd rather see it remade by a director with a sense of humor.
