Nice try M$ I still remember the believe campaign which ended up being better than the game... well single player anyways.
@Evdor: And someone will do it in 24 hours.
I used to have TWC and the local franchise really stocked up on the Scientific Atlantic brand. My friends and family in surrounding suburbs all have newer Motorola brand DVRs and the difference in quality and ease of use is so amazing I'm suprised we're paying the same amount for the same service.

I have the Digital Explorer 8000 and it's by far the worst piece of HT AV equiment I've ever owned/rented. To the point we're looking at Direct TV because Comcast cannot(read as will not) provide us with another brand.

Screen Shot or it didn't happen.

I'd also settle from a report done by a 3rd party that specializes in detecting mold.

I'm a big Holmes on Homes fan. I gotta say, don't let contractors you don't know do work on your house. No company wants this, but I think it'd be funny to have a General Contractor there that day, although the Verizon contractors would probably just leave.
Where's Kevin Tredeau?
@nosebleed: Damnit, I was like "Zomg Mr. Show!"
Yo Dawg, we heard you liked minute clinics! So we had the crew at GAS hook you up with a Mayo in your MOA so you can check your pulse while you shop!
@McLucky: Yes, but they're caught up in a legal suit with Monster Pies, INC which sells apple pies. I keep confusing that with Monster Cable and the folks at Best Buy where I live keep having to remind me that they don't carry pies.

It's so confusing!

Additional cost... Um, Hollywood you're not actually giving me anything extra here. The ability already exists and I have to provide the materials...

What are you actually doing?

Oh, your buying into a system that gives you a licensing discount while charging me more...

If this is of any cost to you, my suggestion, don't do it. We don't like it.

I'm out of installs :(
My receiver broke about 3 weeks before my gf lost her job. I miss it so /sniff QQ
@crymson777: Sams takes Nevus aka Discover and they do double the warranty... at least on my card they do.

Also that article is 250 to 500 for a PC motherboard, or at least they're not specifying as to which but the PC solution is always cheaper because there's more room to move around and work can be done more quickly.

The easy solution: Replace it

The green solution: repair it yourself. the motherboard has already been manufactured and you can save quite a bit on labor, but if you're not good with tech then you could end up with a DOA unit or a bigger bill if you break something.

The honest answer: They're charging you for a quoted amount of labor and it could take less but they want the money. It's a premium price for no better service than someone at a small shop or big shop might do it for if you were to look around.

@dave the wet sprocket: I buy larger purchases from a commissioned sales person only. I get all my info that I need to make an informed decision and then usually talk a little bit with them. But for the reasons above I feel that I'll be taken advantage off much less by someone who works on commission this day and age because of the fear that I would not be satisfied with my purchase and return the item. Which for most places leads to a return of the commission.
Then why is the USPS building that giant monstrosity in Eagan?
@undefined: @SPECIALciaNAPKIN: Hellgate London Collectors Edition.

I did NOT pay for the 150 lifetime premium content, thank god.

Yeah I'd probably just stop using them all together if they go through with this. I rarely use them now without enough cash on hand to pay off the whole balance, I do like the extended warranty most offer, but that's not enough to make me want to pay interest on my large purchases.
@dragonpup: I also wanted to answer that but was forced to rethink it mid sentence.
