This architectural design study provided by the Warsaw Synagogue Foundation shows a glass skyscraper that Poland's Jewish community hopes to build next to the Nozyk synagogue, the only prewar Jewish house of prayer still standing in the Polish capital nowadays. The building, projected to rise 207 meters (680-feet), high above the elegant, cream-colored Nozyk synagogue, would hold a new house of prayer, a kosher restaurant and vast commercial space. The project is meant to give the growing community desperately needed space for its activities, and provide a source of profit for future growth. (AP Photo/Jewish Community of Poland, HO)
