    The European launcher Ariane 5 blasts off on June 12, 2008 at the Kourou base in French Guiana to place two satellites in orbit -- Turkish Turksat 3A and UK defense Skynet 5C. The Ariane 5 ECA launcher is the most powerful one of the European Space Agency (ESA).
