Former "star" and finalist of Fox's movie-making-oriented reality series On the Lot, Zach Lipovsky, has been hired to direct the reboot of the Leprechaun franchise and I say franchise in the loosest sense of the term possible.
Lipovsky actually knows special effects, but he's also never worked on a movie of even a Leprechaun reboot's scale before, let alone directed anything. It's almost like Lionsgate and WWE Studios aren't that invested in relaunching this cinematic classic for a new generation.
My apologies to all you die-hard Leprechaun fans who were hoping the new movie would usher in a new golden age of leprechaun-themed horror cinema, because I'm pretty sure this is a bad, bad sign.
