The Walking Dead shambles on for a third season Despite the drama that plagued The Walking Dead this summer, the second season has been a ratings smash for AMC. The premiere broke the record for a single drama telecast — which was previously held by The Dead Zone — as it landed 7.3 million viewers.

And now AMC is celebrating by renewing the series for a third season. Comic book fans should realize what that means: even more of a chance for The Governor to make an appearance. [The Wrap]
