Robotech, the anime series about Transformers that can take human passengers, is rumored to be getting the masterful touch of Lawrence Kasdan for its live-action movie. This infamous scribe has worked his magic on other legendary movies such as The Empire Strikes Back and Raiders Of The Lost Ark. Robotech has been in limbo for years, since it was purchased by Tobey Maguire's Maguire Entertainment. It was even hinted that Maguire was keen on playing good-looking hero Rick Hunter from the series himself (though he'd need to grow his hair out tremendously). How they are going to compile this entire story of warring intergalactic races and transforming alien mecha technology together is beyond me, but it's ripe for an epic move franchise. More »
