You might recall that Syfy gave the green light to development of a Warehouse 13 spin-off starring H.G. Wells a while back. Back when this was announced, we were pretty excited — but that was before we saw last night's episode, guest-starring Torchwood's Gareth David-Lloyd. More »

Dollhouse's Unaired Post-Apocalyptic Episode Could Spawn A New Spin-Off

Even if we don't get any more Dollhouse after tonight's finale, that may not be the last we see of Joss Whedon's brain-warping vision. Sources tell E! Online that the final episode — the post-apocalyptic one which won't air on Fox, but will be on the DVD — may lead in an unexpected direction. It's by no means definite, but spinning the unaired episode, "Epitaph One," into a new series, is "not exactly outside the realm of Joss' master plan." Here's hoping. And of course, my curiosity to see this weird departure of an episode is now piqued even more than it already was. One question: Would this hypothetical spin-off actually star Felicia Day? More »

The Wachowskis' Speed Racer movie isn't the first reinvention of the rubber-burning cartoon since its 1960s heyday. There's been a long line of Racer relaunches, sequels and spin-offs, many of them huge disasters. That doesn't stop people from trying to reinvent the wheel for the franchise, including the new animated series Speed Racer: The Next Generation, which premieres Friday on NickToons, and then comes out on DVD next week.
