Spoilers for Mockingjay, Terminator 5, Bill & Ted 3 and Man of Steel 2

And that's not all on the sequel front. There are also insights into Avengers: Age of Ultron, Transformers 4 and Pirates of the Caribbean 5. Is Sony making a Last of Us movie? Plus tons of spoilers for Doctor Who, Godzilla, Game of Thrones and True Blood. Spoilers right now!

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Elizabeth Olsen continues to be adorably excited about playing the Scarlet Witch, saying:

She's nuts, she's crazy. She has more things wrong with her than any character I've ever played. She can tell you where an object has been, she can tell you what your future is, she can connect with the dead and people from other universes, and she's the only person in this universe who's capable of doing that. She's unbelievable; it's so cool. I grew up loving 'Star Wars' and 'Lord of the Rings,' and anything that has this other type of world or universe to it is so fun.

Godzilla

In the same interview, Olsen spoke about her role in Godzilla:

It's Aaron Taylor-Johnson's film, but the ensemble, we all are somehow connected to Aaron's character. He's the root, and I play his wife and I'm the person who holds down the San Francisco prospective of it all. I'm a nurse and I work trying take care of this chaos. 'Godzilla' is just so deserving of a good American remake, and I really hope we did it and I really feel like we did.

Hunger Games: Mockingjay

Lionsgate has released the official synopsis of the combined Mockingjay movies, which does describe the plot but doesn't tell us where the first movie will end and the second will begin:

In "Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2," we follow heroine Katniss Everdeen's journey as she leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol. As the war that will determine the fate of Panem escalates, Katniss must decipher for herself who she can trust and what needs to be done, with everything she cares for in the balance.

Filming is set to resume on Mockingjay pretty soon, and OLV has pictures of set construction in Georgia. In addition to green screens being put up, the major changes appear to be making the existing set look damaged, adding smoke marks and the like. Mockingjay the book has a number of battles in it, so this could be the aftermath of the hospital bombing in District 8, which they have filmed some of already, or even Katniss' return to a bombed-out District 12. Bill & Ted 3

Everyone involved is still insisting that the movie is still a go. In a Reddit AMA, Alex Winter recently put its likelihood of being made at a "9.9" out of 10. And in a interview for 47 Ronin, Keanu Reeves said that budgetary concerns were causing the script to be rewritten:

The script is funny and there's a story to tell there. [But] it needs to be adapted because right now it would cost, you know, $400 million to make. There's a rift in the universe and there's all sorts of creatures. [CGI], it ain't cheap!

Terminator

The reboot's apparently holding off on casting anyone until it's found its Sarah Connor. Previous rumors have put Brie Larson and Emilia Clarke on the list, and now another name's been added: Tatiana Maslany of Orphan Black. [The Mary Sue]

In addition, the casting information has a round-up of a bunch of the rumors around this movie. The plan is for this movie to be the first in a standalone trilogy, and the first one is reportedly titled Terminator: Genesis. That's not been confirmed, and it's still being called Terminator 5. The only confirmed actor is Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has happily told the press that he'll be back as the Terminator, even though other rumors made it sound like he'd be playing a human that the T-800s were modeled after. The Last of Us

This could mean nothing, but Sony has registered the domains TheLastOfUs-Movie.com and TheLastOfUsMovie.net, which could mean that a movie adaptation of the game is in the works. [IGN]

Pirates of the Caribbean 5

The movie's been pushed back to 2016, but details about the script have come out through the The Daily Mail. The villain is Captain Brand, a ghost hunting for "The Trident" – which is sure to be another one of those magical artifacts that litter this universe. Another new character will be Carina Smyth, the daughter of Geoffrey Rush's Captain Barbossa. The Daily Mail says that Christoph Waltz and Rebecca Hall are being eyed for these parts, but there aren't any actual deals in place. However, the film does include the return of Keith Richards as Jack Sparrow's father. [First Showing]

Batman Vs. Superman

Remember when Zack Snyder was being all coy about whether or not they'd return to the Kent family farm? Yeah, photos of the reconstruction of the Kent farm set pretty much confirm that they are. [Coming Soon]

Transformers 4: Age of Extinction

Michael Bay told Yahoo! that this movie will be different than the other three Transformers films. It won't be "goofy":

I wanted the first Transformers to be very suburban and less cool," Bay told us from the Detroit set of this fourth chapter. "This is a much more cinematic one. I focused on keeping this one slick. There won't be any goofiness in this one. We went a bit too goofy [on the last one]."

But despite Optimus's updated design, Bay is quick to point out that this really is the fourth in an ongoing series – "reboot" is a dirty word here. "It feels like a new chapter, this movie," he says. "But it's not a reboot. This movie lives in the history of the 'Transformers' movies, and this one starts three years after the last. It feels fresh.

Mark Wahlberg's character has been renamed "Cade Yeader" and his daughter will be "Tessa Yeader." The supporting characters will be Stanley Tucci as Joshua, Sophia Myles as a geologist named Darcy, Li Bingbing as "the CEO of the Chinese Transformers," and Kelsey Grammar as Harold Attinger, the "non-robot big bad." Doctor Who

Den of Geek's rounded up what we know of the next season of Doctor Who. Clara's still the companion, and Madame Vastra, Jenny, and Strax will return. We also know that the show will address why the new Doctor looks like Peter Capaldi's character from the 10th Doctor episode "The Fires of Pompeii." In terms of writers, a bunch of people have been rumored to be trying to return, but all are crunched for time: Neil Gaiman, Jack Lothian, Chris Chibnall, and Neil Cross. More at the link. [Den of Geek]

Game of Thrones

Neil Marshall is directing the penultimate episode of the next season, which has a giant battle in it. Marshall explained all the work that went into filming it:

What I can say is that it's a huge episode — a huge production. As far as I know, the episode hasn't been named yet but someone online suggested it might be called 'Castle Black' but all I know is that it's called episode nine! It's kind of the same as 'Blackwater', in a sense, in that these episodes are bigger than most of my films! They're on the same scale as something like 'Centurion', if not bigger. We have huge sets that they build - in the case of 'Blackwater' it was a section of King's Landing. For this episode we didn't have to build Castle Black, we already had it. But it's an amazing set. They built another inside the Paint Hall for the top of the Wall, and that was so big it took up the entire studio. We got a special backdrop made for it and one of the things about Paint Hall that makes it quite unique is that it's much taller than most film studios. The backdrop went around almost 360 degrees and it turned out that it's the biggest backdrop in Europe. The outside stuff for the battle was shot at the Castle Black set, which is built on the side of a huge quarry North of Belfast. We had about 200 hundred or so extras. We also had a very large team of stuntmen including this amazing bunch of Hungarian stunt guys, and they were absolutely fantastic! Really great. This episode is loaded with stunts, effects gags and visual effects. It's a very, very action-packed episode!

In keeping with the carnage on display in 'Blackwater', did you get to fire catapults, set people on fire and have characters' heads chopped off this time round?

Pretty much all of the above! There are a few beheadings in there, as is my wont! And yeah, we got to blow some people up, set people on fire and do quite a few high falls. There's a lot of very physical action and a lot of fighting - sword fights and physical fights. We pack quite a lot of stuff in there.

True Blood

Season 7 will start with a major death in the premiere. The season will also see the return of a stronger-than-before Warlow and an increased role for Tara's mother. Showrunner Brian Buckner described what Hep-V infected vampires will look like:

[They're] weaker and driven by a need to eat in a way that the vampires that we've come to know are not. They have to drink human blood in larger quantities and more frequently than before.

[The Stir]

Almost Human

Everyone seems to agree that this show is meant to be lighter, funnier, and way less complicated than Fringe. J.J. Abrams said:

With something like 'Almost Human,' the challenge of creating something that feels new is not in even the case of the week, or the look of the world. It goes down to how do these two interact. There's some really funny and sweet exchanges between these characters as the relationship develops. That is what's taking you through the event.

Star Karl Urban was really attracted to the comedy aspect, saying:

It seemed to me that there was a huge potential for fun, for comedy. What I realized was at the heart of the show, both these characters are learning from each other. They're learning about what it means to be human, and that was really quite an interesting and exciting concept.

Wyman said that everyone, including the supporting characters, have a "feature film storyline" ready for them. Then he once again hammered home the "lighter, funner" aspect:

[Fringe was] heavy at times for me. This is lighter, more fun, I'm trying to make it a little bit more of a fun pill.
