If you ask Stephen Hawking for the secret to time travel, expect a snarky answer In 1995, The Face magazine asked Stephen Hawking if he knew the formula for time travel. The magazine received this pithy fax back from the physicist.

This hasn't been the only occasion Dr. Hawking has flaunted his own ignorance. On the eve of his recent 70th birthday, Hawking admitted to being eluded by the vagaries of romance.
