I always wondered why you don't see more of that. You always get movies based on TV series but never the other way around (maybe BSG but that was just a pilot that they put in theaters first). Seems like there are lots of movies with one off concepts that never get their full exploration. #2013

Checking out the TV series takes much less effort. I can DVR the first episode and give it 40 minutes of my time without dropping down $10-plus. #2013

On an unrelated note, won't NBC potentially have something very similar with Day One? I know they're only planning a miniseries right now, but it could become a full series, especially if Heroes finally gets put out of its misery next year. #2013
