Can somebody explain to me what #24 means by "this is the dress Bella gets smacked around in, for her protection"? The stalker decal and suicidal sheep are bad enough, but the more details I hear about this series, the more nervous it makes me.

Hancock was ok. I avoided the hype and the cinema release. I just watchedit on DVD instead. Me and the missus thought it was ok. Just ok. It felt like 2 completly different films near the end, both good, both bad!! I hope the second is better. Thats if they need to make another. Didnt they wrap up the first one. Remind me...this thing was very throw away!!

In reply to Will New Writers Shield Us From A Terrible Hancock Sequel?
I liked Hancock a lot more than I thought I would, even though it felt choppy, as if two separate films had been smushed together.

Now that we have the origin story out of the way, I'm looking forward to seeing the character expand more in the sequel.
Spiderman 2 was (to me) a great example of what could be done once the obligatory origin movie was done. Let's hope the writers have fun with it.

If The Shield writers make Hancock 2 half as good as the poorest episode of The Shield, it will be great.

    No.

The reason being: there is no need for a sequel.

The other thing that makes these fannish is that they're mysteries. There's always been a huge overlap between SF and mystery, in both fans and writers.

So, mysteries with techie stuff = fannish, ergo close enough to SF that we welcome it in.
