Hancock was ok. I avoided the hype and the cinema release. I just watchedit on DVD instead. Me and the missus thought it was ok. Just ok. It felt like 2 completly different films near the end, both good, both bad!! I hope the second is better. Thats if they need to make another. Didnt they wrap up the first one. Remind me...this thing was very throw away!!
I liked Hancock a lot more than I thought I would, even though it felt choppy, as if two separate films had been smushed together.
Now that we have the origin story out of the way, I'm looking forward to seeing the character expand more in the sequel.
Spiderman 2 was (to me) a great example of what could be done once the obligatory origin movie was done. Let's hope the writers have fun with it.
The other thing that makes these fannish is that they're mysteries. There's always been a huge overlap between SF and mystery, in both fans and writers.
So, mysteries with techie stuff = fannish, ergo close enough to SF that we welcome it in.

The reason being: there is no need for a sequel.

I didn't know the new "improved" comments were going to put mine under his, I meant for mine to stand alone although I referenced his.
Fannish.
