No, He`s all wrong for the part ,sinestro is tall ,smart and very arogant (excuse the misspell).

I know that Jackie Earle Harley is good actor , he made a great Rorschach , despite the rest of the movie . But I think the part is simply wrong for him . #greenlantern

@Starwatcher: I dunno, I really think Sinestro needs an English accent. Which I realize is odd, because he's an alien, but whatever. #greenlantern

Oh, and Guy Gardner? Mr. Bruce Campbell (or, alternatively, if he's too old, Will Arnett) #greenlantern

@Wookie1972: Very good choices, but I think Bruce would be a much better Guy Gardner, Will Arnett is too...wiry. I think Bruce would fill out the roll better, literally. #greenlantern

@Guitaratomik: I thought Gardner was around the same age as Hal, maybe even a little older. He became a GL later, but I thought he seemed a little older. Arnett is at most a few years older than Reynolds. #greenlantern

Yeah, as much as I love JEH, I really don't think he'd make a good Sinestro. Sinestro needs to be more regal and....taller. I've heard both Hugo Weaving and Paul Bettany thrown around as ideas from fans and I think those choices fit much better. You could probably do better than that even. #greenlantern

@Guitaratomik: Considering that the model for Sinestro was David Niven, I think you're closer with Weaving or Bettany than Haley. My first thought was Guy Pearce (also for the Riddler), but another that comes to mind is Hugh Laurie (possibly a little too old). #greenlantern

@Wookie1972: I think Sinestro should be a bit older than Hal. He should be more a father figure than a brother so Hugh Laurie would actually be pretty interesting. #greenlantern

@GreyHammer: See below - I'd accidentally posted a story Meredith had already posted earlier this week, so figured everyone'd prefer something they hadn't already read.

I do, however, like the idea of me as ninja. ;) #greenlantern

To all concerned: Yup, this is a replacement for the duplicate Nathan Fillion/Greatest American Hero post that I unknowingly repeated from Meredith. Lest it be said that I stole a Fillion pic from you, however: #greenlantern

I loves me my science fiction, but I put this one down after getting a third of the way in. I think Anathem had come out and I was lured away. Haven't felt inclined to go back, must say.

@ShubhraKnuks: It gets better. I almost put it down after the first 1/3 of the book as well, but it picks up steam. And you really can skim past some of his not-quite-funny digressions.

So - from your first paragraph I have bought the book because it sounds intriguing. But I didn't read the "review" because you said there are spoilers in it.

Surely if you are "reviewing" the book you should avoid spoilers - otherwise you are "discussing" the book, which is perfectly valid but not how this is labelled. Perhaps adding a line about what you thought about the book in the first paragraph might have helped (I went and read a few other actual non-spoilery reviews to see if it was worth buying).

@BrookeHolodyne: Sorry, in my world reviews almost always have spoilers. I didn't give away the major plot twist of the book, but it's hard to discuss what the book's about without getting into specifics. I've written book reviews for the SF Chronicle, Publisher's Weekly and various other places, and the only difference there was that we didn't have to include a spoiler warning.

Sure, I'll take a stab. The massive twist two-thirds of the way through is that the un-named narrator IS his friend, Gonzo Lubitsch. And the Fight Club they created is starting to get a little nutty.
