Ok...so...um...I don't know that there is a way to put this delicately, but according to IMDB she is 42 years old. How is that possible? How can she possibly...I mean...look at her...but 42? I'm stymied.
But what I like in Crank 2 is that the movie was shot with a $3500 camera, a Canon XH-A1 prosumer camera. While their "crash cams", were the Canon HF100 that cost less than $800 these days. Very ambitious project to bring down costs! And having watched the 1080p trailer, it looks good, even with the lack of shallow depth of field.
@Eugenia: You really think so? I saw the trailer in 1080 and wondered why a studio release looked like such crap. I didn't know they shot it with such cheap equipment, but at least the crap picture makes sense to me now.
@MsFeasance: She was wearing like 1980s poodle-skirted prom dress for our interview... She'd been wearing it (with heavy makeup) since 9 AM, since she was doing interviews all day.
Isn't Steven Colbert a big ol geek as well? I remember him being into Tolkien, D&D, and a general Sci-Fi fan. He also ocassionaly does that sci-fi cartoon of himself on the Colbert Report.
I'd add Noel Clarke, Mickey of the new Doctor Who, a childhood fan, hanger-on for three years, and writer of an episode for "Torchwood." Surely, he'll contribute a script to the mother show one of these days...
There are a ton of actors who are super-geeks and really love franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar G., comics, video games and so on.
I've interviewed quite a few actors and celebs like Simon Pegg, Bill Hader, Jaime King, Seth Green, Milo Ventimiglia, Margaret Cho, Seth MacFarlane, Masi Oka, and more here if any of you want to read more geek love comments.
I have to admit it's rather endearing to learn that some of the coolest actors out there have a soft spot for Doctor Who action figures and Star Wars bedspreads. ;-)

Now I am actually interested in this movie.

Looks like something's about to fall out of her shirt in that picture...

Wouldn't it be funny if Bai Ling went on to become an Academy-award winning actress like Jane Fonda?

But also, Hewlett? Shanks? I KNOW Hewlett is a big nerd.
Also? Freema Agyeman went to a convention when she was younger dressed as Data. Please don't ask how I know this.

Edward James Olmos is more obsessive about BSG than most of the fans are.
