I like the Stoltz too, but we do know how Caprica ends.
I might watch SGU if it isn't too dark, though I'll bet money that they kill off Carlyle in the first few episodes and then we'll have Emo Kids In Space.
It'll give me a lot more time for reading actual science fiction, rather than syfy.
@Andrew Liptak: Yeah, that's much better. Especially since it has FarScape and CoD. Also really liked the one a few years back with that Switchfoot song "dare you to move." I think it aired with Taken...
@PVIII: I think it's just that this one feels less like a commercial, and it has a fantastic song along with it that really makes this one work so well.
@Cianalas: True, but 36 billion is the number as far as Riverworld is concerned. I'd imagine they might update that figure for the movie, but I think part of the reason was to justify why such a huge percentage of the people appearing were recent humans.
Here's the problem with SyFy trying to reproduce BSG: BSG was too good for SyFy. BSG could have been on HBO, or any of the big four networks. The other 95% of SyFy programming has been and is, in the the words of Col. Tigh, CRAAAAAAPPPPP.
My good friend and former Andromeda boss Robert Hewitt Wolfe wrote the new Riverworld movie. He never let me read it, but I'm hopeful. The Star Trek writers with "R" names (Ron, Robert, Rene...) are always good.
So... Riverworld's going to be like Caprica if Helo never got offplanet and was actually a Cylon (rebirth, not aging, childless)? Hmmm.
Admittedly, I would've watched "Caprica: Helo" for seasons on end, just him running around in survivalist mode and being wigged out. Apparently I'm onboard for Riverworld.

I'll give W13 a chance, but besides Eureka and the toe I will dip into Caprica, I could give a toss.

Tin Man was a clusterfuck from beginning to end.
Let's hope that "like Tin Man" isn't something we hear a lot of.
