    Props for featuring Ultraman. I rented the entire original series from Netflix (old DVD set) and I was surprised how much fun I had. I actually had watched the English dub on TV as a wee tot, and for the DVDs I watched with Japanese audio and subtitles. Since the dub was a pretty faithful translation, the stories were familiar. And as an adult I know that in the episode where Ultraman fights what looks like Godzilla, it actually IS the Godzilla suit (so ... I guess it's a cameo? :)

    I've mentioned on here a few weeks ago that I'd be willing to add more straight sci-fi to my Netflix Horror, Exploit, and Cult cinema new release lists if you guys were going to use them, but never go an answer. I'll throw the idea out there again just in case.

    As it stands, I've carried those list out to Nov. As titles are added to the NF database, I'll add them. just click to see what's doin': [www.netflix.com]

    On "FlashForward": the show is set in LA, so that would be a sunset over the water, which is even more ominous.

    Or, it's just a graphic that someone thought looked pretty.

    Not much to report in Doctor Who land, but yesterday there were distant sightings of an actor done up in prosthetics as a "lumpy red alien wearing a green outfit"

    The set watchers only caught a quick glimpse, and it was too far to photograph, so speculation can continue as to whether it was something new or a returning classic like a Zygon or Tereleptil.

    I think you meant to say, "what happened to ALL of his girlfriends..." remember, one got shot in the gut, the other got lost in time...

    But you know what, I don't think this one will have much to worry about. She's blonde, so I don't think she will be going anywhere anytime soon....being blonde is the real super power on Heroes.

    this is hilarious..i'm nigerian and obasanjo wasnt a gang lord..he was a former president(read: dick head who didnt want to leave office and had to be forced out..sigh...africa...)
    i was already sold but i'm definitely going to check out district 9 because of this.
    i have been noticing a couple films this year talk about nigeria..x-men origins etc...

    Now that Allison is on Warehouse 13, I hope there are several episodes that take place in a very hot, sweaty environment with her trapped alone with Joanne Kelly. Preferably a small room. That is covered by secret cameras.

    re: WH 13. I'm curious to see whether Claudia's brother is an ongoing issue, or if he was merely a plot coupon. C'mon, the guy was gone 13 years. How does he adjust? How does he re-integrate? Moreover, he, too, knows about the warehouse, the agents, and Artie. (And what he doesn't know, given his sister and his intellect, he could conceivably piece together.)Yet he wasn't even discussed--let alone shanghaied--by the powers that be at the end of the last ep like his sister. Does he disappear entirely? Is he used as an ongoing support character and reference point for Claudia? (Wouldn't it be odd if she suddenly seems to forget all about him, or only occasionally bleats out a reference to him, given her obsession with him for so many years prior to her appearance in the show?) Better yet, does he become a villain? The answer will go a long way toward determining whether or not the show is worth my time.

    @Laffinboy: As much as I like Warehouse 13, I'm concerned that they really don't care about the story and are relying on Myka and Pete's charisma to carry the show.

    I really do like watching them, and think the show is hilarious. But, you are right in that would be a ridiculous shift for the character to just forget about her long lost brother.
